When I was little, I looked at a list of Dr. Seuss books, and noticed one of them was titled "I Can Lick Thirty Tigers Today." Not being up to speed on the slang of the good doctor's generation, I took the title literally and thought it seemed gross.

I accidentally bought Cherry Garcia ... Frozen Yogurt! ... instead of Ice Cream, it's still good but ... not what I was expecting. Frozen Yogurt dosn't quite have the recuperative effects of Ice Cream.

I've seen "playpen" used as a substitute by hollywood for "playboy" more than once, and wonder if there ever actually was a "playpen", and if so...playpen... that's a bit young...don'tchaknow.

The backing tracks on certain uptempo Latin pop songs from the late 70s/early 80s sound like the theme music to any random Hanna-Barbera/Ruby-Spears cartoon from the same era.

Tonight's dinner is chili verde pork. mr_cleome started it in the slow cooker this morning. I still have to put up the beans/rice and make dessert, though.

Broadside of the Transformers is one of three Autobot (good robot) Triple Changers. His vehicle modes are an aircraft carrier and a space shuttle. Unfortunately, Broadside fared the worst by far of the Autobot Triple Changers in the cartoon series. Whereas Springer was one of the lead characters that season, and Sandstorm was showcased in a very good episode ("Fight or Flee"), Broadside was showcased in a very poor episode ("Carnage in C-Minor"), and when he made a non-speaking cameo in a good episode ("The Burden Hardest to Bear"), he had a compeltely different design, so a lot of viewers didn't even recognize him!
