Kent has it.
My seven year old called me in a bit after she went to bed, to say she was sort of freaking out about this idea of certain kind of light that could send you into another world where you couldn't touch anything. She also got a bit freaked when I told her about the idea of history changing, a la Crisis on Infinite Earths. It seems to be these concepts, rather than any specific visuals, that bother her.
Anyway, I had to remind her that Mon-El went into the Phantom Zone for his own safety and well-being, and also give her the spoiler that he eventually comes out again, to help her feel better.
Go, Kent.

okay, then. Which TWO of the following are untrue?
1. I intended to pop into a local pub for dinner and then return home. 2. I wound up spending seven hours at a local pub. 3. I'd been feeling antisocial and depressed for much of the day. 4. People I socialized with tonight included a computer game designer, a straight English interior decorator, a Nicaraguan hairstylist, and a m2w transgender couple. 5. one of the people listed in #4 is, according to conversation, legally barred from entering the US. 6. of the list from #4, the transgender couple were the ones I'd known prior to this past evening. 7. I spent the afternoon wandering around Stanley Park. 8. Nearby Stanley Park is my favorite local pizzeria. 9. I chatted today with an old friend who I dated 25 years ago. 10. After living here since August, today had the first thunderstorms that I'd noticed. 11. Today was the first time the regular bartender at the aforementioned pub recalled my name. 12. I chatted with a beautiful blonde who was not on staff at the pub.
The childhood friend Exnihil never had.

At least one person has guessed one of the two, and Xben was the first to do so (which is not to confirm or deny whether Quis did too).
I did somehow spend seven hours at the pub. I had met the transgender couple there a month or two ago. My favorite local pizzeria is near Stanley Park (although it wasn't as good as usual on my most recent visit) I had been feeling antisocial beforehand. the old friend and I chatted on Facebook. I haven't seen her in person since 1987.
The childhood friend Exnihil never had.

xben has it! Everyone was joking that the Nicaraguan fellow was a hairstylist, but wasn't really. The others were as-is.
I spent the day before wandering around Stanley Park, not the day of the pub visit.

OK, we'll continue with a similar game - 10 Truths and 2 Lies. Identify the lies.
1. I once counted all the word balloons that each character had in v.4 of Legion of Super-Heroes - 5 Years Later. (Ultra Boy had the most!) 2. I can name every episode ever of Doctor Who, as well as each writer and each director 3. I once scripted my own audio version of The Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy (and 1 1/2 of the sequels) for me and a friend to record. 4. I once caused a fire in my house when I turned on the wrong stove burner (instead of boiling water, I lit some papers on fire that we foolishly had sitting on the stove instead) 5. I am halfway through reading Volume I of Jack Kirby's Fourth World Omnibus - and I am very impressed 6. I have celebrated my birthday in nine different nations 7. My children have passports for three different countries 8. I recently finished editing Episode 50 of an audio series I've been working on since 1994 9. I once watched "Duck Soup", "Blue Velvet" and "A Clockwork Orange" as part of an all night movie marathon 10. I am slowly working my way through the "New Krypton" storyline in Trade Paperbacks. I have five books to go. 11. Over the years, birthday celebrations have included taking a helicopter ride, being part of a scavenger hunt downtown while dressed up as superheros, and having a big "Batman" party 12. It's raining outside, so I'm a bit concerned my house will soon be infested with millipedes

One person has made one correct guess.
Hint: I really am working my way through the New Krypton storyline. I was drawn into it by the Legion connections toward the end, and for whatever reason decided to read the whole thing in order. Technically, I have seven books to go because I've bought two but haven't read them yet, but I was intending this as a "True" answer.

We still have only one correct guess in all.
Hint: I did watch Duck Soup, Blue Velvet and A Clockwork Orange all in one night, starting at about 10:00 pm, during college. It started off a hilarious evening and then steadily descended to the edge of despair.

Even though we all picked #1, it might still be a wrong choice. In which case, it could be one of the previous guesses (5, 6, 7, 12) plus one of the more recent guesses(8, 11). Or it will be #1 and either 2, 3, 4.
