I am taking that as confirmation, BM. Ok, another easy one...who was the third Legion leader?

If we are counting terms separately, then Saturn Girl.

KK, I was counting terms separately, mostly because I can't rememeber who was leader after Imra - who was also the second leader. Take it, KK!

Hint: The Ambassador's name was Thora and she had a Liza Minnelli hair cut.

Hint #2: This was the first story where Vi had Gim's power. She refered to herself as "Colossal Girl."

Pffft. Tough one. And it kind of depends on what your definition of 'love' is.
There was Brainy with his Supergirl robot, although he didn't know it was a robot. Sun Boy and Laurel Kent, although I wouldn't call it love. Do we count Light Lass first meeting Timber Wolf as the Karth Arn robot? Dawnstar, if Wildfire counts as a machine, but I don't think he does.
I hope I'm not missing anything ridiculously obvious.

Actually, the only one I had in mind was the Brainy/Supergirl-bot romance. Making Laurel Kent a Manhunter is something I have tried to suppress, and I don't think the other 2 really count. Take it, Matt!

Oh! It's to me!
Okay.
Let's say there have been six in-continuity Legions over time: - original pre-Crisis (up to COIE) - post-Crisis (COIE up to where Mon-El takes out the Time Trapper a few issues into 5YL) - Glorithverse (5YL up to Zero Hour) - SW6 (from their release from the Dominion's chambers up to Zero Hour) - reboot - threeboot
There is a short list of Legionnaires who have been active members of all six of those Legions. Name them.
(There's one Legionnaire who I'm not sure whether to count him/her as an active member of one of the Legion versions. So what I figure is, I'll count any answer as correct that has all the other Legionnaires right, whether or not this Legionnaire is included. Does that make sense?)
Oh, and I'm not going to say yes-or-no to individual Legionnaires. You've either got the list entirely correct or not.
If this takes a while and you need a hint, I'll reveal how many Legionnaires we're talking about here. But not now.

You seem to understand the question right. But your answer is not quite correct.

Saturn Girl Cosmic Boy Lightning Lad (by any other name...) Phantom Girl Triplicate Girl Chameleon Boy Colossal Boy Invisible Kid Brainiac 5 Ultra Boy Star Boy Light Lass Shrinking Violet Element Lad Karate Kid Projectra I think that's it. And Mon-El was the other you were considering?

EDE's list was much closer than yours.
In fact, I was wondering whether to just give it to him, since the part where his list doesn't match mine rests on a very nice point, involving my definitions of the boundaries between different Legion versions and just when one can consider the Legion to be an active group at all. I think I'm on firm ground, though.

That's right. (And Mon-El was the eighth; I don't think he was an active member of the 5YL Legion but there are those who do.)

There are those who think Mon-El was an active member of the 5YL Legion? I'd like to know their reasoning. While he occasionally appeared in the TMK issues, he certainly wasn't a member of Cham's and Rokk's team (didn't wear the jacket - and boy, there's a piece of Legion Merchandising I would have loved to see from DC Direct), and I don't think he appeared at ALL after Giffen left except the Jamm Bloodlines Annual and End of an Era.
In any case, it's my turn for a question:
Which member of the Legion was able to stop people from burning to death on Mercury?

I originally thought it was Shadow Lass (WOW!! I remember that nightgown thing she wore that 1st night while visiting Mercury), But although I couldn't readily locate my back issue copy, I remember Sun Boy having something to do with "saving the day" in that issue. Although I didn't start collecting until 1980, that was one of the issues that got me hooked!
