And the answer is: I am currently wearing a gray plaid shirt. However when I asked the question, I was wearing an orange shirt. So walkwithcrowds has the next question.
KryptonKid, whenever anyone asks "Are there any questions?", I always want to say "What's the capital of Montana?"

Sorry but it's no to both of them. I am re-reading the Philip Marlowe books but I am on The High Window right now. House of Leaves is a book I read a while ago but it's one of those one that I am ALWAYS recomending to everyone. I added it here in the hope it might get someone interested enough to look it out.

No, sorry Quis. I've just started reading this. It's been sitting on my bookshelf for a while now and I've just gotten round to reading it. It's too early to tell if I like it or not...seems okay so far.

Well, Cali got it.
I recently bought a second hand copy of The Complete War of the Worlds, edited by Brian Holmsten & Alex Lubertozzi. It has the original Wells version and the script and a CD of the Welles radio version plus articles about both men. I would recomend it to any SF fan. Anyway that made me decide to hunt out and read the rest of H.G.Wells' stuff. I got a hold of an omnibus edition of some of his stories and have just finished The Time Machine. I REALLY enjoyed it. It's all very Doc Savage/two fisted hero/boys own kind of stuff.
Swords of Night and Day is a book in the Skillgannon series by David Gemmell. One of my favorite writers, who sadly passed away a few months ago...you are missed Big Dave.
The Willows and Beyond is a follow up to Wind In The Willows. I know, it sounds like sacrilege - someone else writing about Toad, Ratty and Mole but the series (of which this was the fourth) was really enjoyable and was very respectful of the source material...Wind in the Willows is one of my all time favorite books and has been ever since I played Toad in a school production of Toad of Toad Hall.
Wow that was a longer answer than I meant to type.
Anyway, Cali? It's your go.

Haha, cool. On that topic-- which H.G. Wells novel was required for my history class?

Recently, I posted a question on this site where I referred to an "incomprehensible mess of a story". Below are listed the choices I offered for that question (aside from Our Worlds At War, which is the answer). Now the truth is, out of those eleven stories, I haven't read three of them, and another two of them I actually enjoyed.
So the question is...which three stories have I not read, and which two did I enjoy. As this question is asking for a lot, I'll give lots of hints as answers come in.
1. JLA One Million 2. Final Night 3. Secret Wars 2 4. Identity Crisis 5. Rann / Thanagar War 6. Dark Knight Strikes Again 7. Green Lantern: Emerald Twilight / New Dawn 8. Underworld Unleashed 9. The House of M 10. Zero Hour: Crisis in Time 11. DC versus Marvel

OK, Kent...out of five correct answers, you got four of them! But only one of them is in the right category.

since it's a complex question, I'll use my "mastermind" game strategy and start with small adjustments:
read: 1. JLA One Million 2. Final Night 5. Rann / Thanagar War
enjoyed: 4. Identity Crisis 6. Dark Knight Strikes Again
The childhood friend Exnihil never had.

Kent...three correct titles listed, none in the right category
Quis, you listed Final Night twice...or was that on purpose? Anyway, two correct answers, one in the right category

That's a clever idea, but when I said I enjoyed it, I meant that I enjoyed reading it. Or at least that I have got no significant negative memories of it.

Lad Boy, you've got two correct titles, both of them is in the right category. And you've also got Final Night listed twice (just for your info, if Final Night is one of the correct answers, I've just told you about it once.)
