I have no idea how useful this will be, but

Hint:

The pattern I'm using to arrange the names is

Fighter; Wizard; Cleric; Thief. (and also other party members)

I think you have stumped us.

Perhaps a different question is in order.

Okay.

The answers to that one:

A? = Fea (from Yamara)
B? = Piffany (from Nodwick)
C? = El Ravager (from Knights of the Dinner Table)

all of which are strips that have appeared in Dragon magazine, although at least two of them have had independent existences also.

New question:

Wonder Woman says "Great Hera!" Luke Cage says "Christmas!" Who says "Shoot-a-mile!"?

Hint: DC.

Not Jimmy Olsen. And I would not call this character 'Silver Age'.

No, but... how can I put this... you've come the closest to having the right voice in your head, if you know what I mean.

None of the guesses is all that similar to the character in question, but we can take Quislet's guess as a hint, in a way.

Hint: this is not a cowboy or western character; it's more of a country-boy sort of character. He has hardly appeared at all in comics since the title he was in was cancelled in the '80s, but 52 contains a reference to him.

No.

Summing up the question and hints so that they're all in the same place:

Q: Wonder Woman says 'Great Hera!'. Luke Cage says, 'Christmas!'. Who says 'Shoot-a-mile!'?

Hints: not a Silver Age character; Quislet's guess (Speedy) can be construed as a hint, sort of; not a cowboy or western hero, but kind of a country boy; hasn't appeared hardly at all in comics since the title he was in was cancelled in the '80s; was referred to in 52; not a human being.

Not Speedy, not Jimmy Olsen, not Bat Lash, not Jonah Hex, not El Diablo, not Electric Warrior.

Another hint (which contains other hints in it): unlike the other members of the super-team he belonged to, he turned out to be something of a legacy superhero.

You have stumped me, even with all the hints.

All I can think of when I think of this question is that Robby Reed the original Dial H for Hero always said "Sock-a-McGee"

Okay, if I try list any cancelled 80's teams I can think of it might help somebody think of an answer. You said he was refered to in 52 so it must be a DC character.

The Outsiders
Night Force
Suicide Squad

Oh!
Deadshot!...or is that too cliched

Oooh! oooh! Mr. Kotter! Mr. Kotter!

Would that be Fastback from Captain Carroy and His Amazing Zoo Crew?

Fastback (the grandson or great-nephew or something of DC's golden-age funny-animal superhero The Terrific Whatzit), is correct. (There was a Fastback Bus Lines, or something of the sort, in 52, with a logo that resembled Timmy Joe himself.)

Go ahead.

Whew! It was that last clue that gave it to me.

OK, name the four teams Red Tornado (John Smith, not Ma Hunkle) has been associated with.

I only know of three. the 4th must be fairly recent.

JSA
JLA
Primal Force
and I'll guess... the Outsiders?
