That's what i was thinking...if Perez is too tied up doing the AVENGERS for Marvel, then get Jiminez to do some art - he's a bit like George...or else Christopher Taylor (if he's still active in the art biz)...

I thought Perez was exclusive to DC now.

Perez is a DC exclusive. I've not heard of him doing any work for Marvel.
I thumbed through the last two issues of this and they were, IMO, just as bad as the first. Boring story and I'm sorry the say the art leaves a lot to be desired. This whole thing feels like it was thrown together at the last moment and I still don't get why we needed it.

It seems nuts that they haven't explained how Donna went from being a corpse with heat vision-drilled holes inside her on earth to being a hale & hearty goddess in space.
It's all pointless.

it certainly gets better with each one clearly meant to be a trade

But I still like the "found in burning building, raised by Amazons" origin best!

I'm sorry, but this series is complete crap. I have not liked it at all. I'll finish it because I'm a Titan's fan, but what a waste of money. Rushed and confusing story, artwork a "C" maybe, and I just don't like it. So there. Maybe I am still a 80's child and bitter over never getting that Wolfman/Perez spark back...
I just can't BLOK it out!

He did AVENGERS from 1975 and from then sporadically until about 1981. He then went over to DC to take over the JLA art chores after Dick Dillin's untimely death and split his duties between JLA and the newly-created New Teen Titans book. After finishing with the Titans during their Baxter run (after issue 5) he later returned to Marvel to revamp the Avengers alongside the very talented Al Vey. To my knowledge, he still provides pencils and layouts for the book.

No, not for years now, as far as I'm aware. Not to mention, the Avengers series (as such) is not currently being published. I think LL meant he hasn't heard of George announced to do any work at Marvel currently, which is right. I forget when Gorge's DC exclusive contract was supposed to go into effect, but I don't think he still had any Marvel work in the pipeline that hasn't come out yet.

GP signed a 3 year deal with DC. The length is important due to his up-and-down health. His psoriasis has slowed the rate at which he can turn out work.
Hopefully he can get back to a decent rate of doing pages, as his IC cover shows he's a master.

WTF? There's all this talk about issue #4 of this mini over on the DC boards (largely about how GOOD it is) -- yet my CBS didn't have a single issue! Did it really come out today? Did I miss out AGAIN? (It better not be sold out -- it was supposed to be on my pull list!)

Yes it came out today.
There was a huge revelation about who Donna Troy was in another life. Yes more retconning stuff into her backstory. Once you see it, you get some sense of her role in infinite crisis.
However this series fell flat for me. The DC Boards buzzing that it was good really cements what I think of them.

[/b]Oh, gosh, I'm sorry, I was out of touch comics-wise for nearly five years now, so i didnt know George had finished with the AVENGERS (vol.2). How long did this run last for?

Well, it didn't help that the two page splash that laid everything out for us was confusing. I couldn't tell where one part of the narrative started and another ended.
I liked a few things about this series such as the 'budding'? Romance between Donna and Roy and the exact WTF moment. But DC's "SPECIAL" should have been told in one issue, not four with one shipping late.
Then there's the bit about the future being wrong....the only future I can think of is the one the LSH is in and how that's changed from what Donna or Lyla would know/remember.

Remember in Outsiders, Brainiac 8 blamed Donna Troy for destroying the future of Colu's Empire over the galaxy. A Coluan/Dominator Fleet is due to arrive at Polaris at the end of the R/T War miniseries.
Donna is recruiting heroes to investigate the anomaly. Vril Dox is about to arrive. The Green Lantern Corps is already on the scene. This is about to blow up.

OK... she is back. I guess this explains/fixes all the stuff Byrne did to Donna. I understand her role now. I am still in the shock phase about who she was in the original Crisis..I mean I re read this issue a couple of times.. but whoa. What did you all think??
( sorry vague message but I did not want to spoil)
Looking for Earth Prime.

Meh. Never cared about/for Donna. This mini hasn't made me feel otherwise. I do feel like I semi-understand wtf is going on but... I just don't give a crap. At least we can finally understand the Titans and Outsiders refs to Donna too.
P.S. Since when is Kid Flash (Bart) the heart of the Teen Titans??

(*sigh* Another cliffhanger at the end of a miniseries how novel. I'm thinking IC will resolve nothing and at the end of it there'll be a last page reveal and ...To be continued in 52)
When she says the future is unravelling at the end of the issue. That must be the force pounding at reality in the last moments we saw the reboot legion during the Titans/Legion special.

Spoil away about Donna's identity guys. Or PM if you feel the need. I am curious but I'm also not about to throw away any more money on this mini. Not as bad as HoM but damn close.
