Spoiler Follows

Byrne's Dark Angel Story of Donna's origin is expanded. The Titans of Myth were hiding her true memories. Once the veil is lifted...

SPOILERS
she remembers the multiverse. She was wondergirl of Earth-1. But also on another earth she was named lyla and was saved not by Wonder Woman but by the Monitor and raised to be Harbinger. On Earth-7 she was saved by the Anti-Monitor and raised to be the Anti-Harbinger (Dark Angel).

After Crisis oIE all the Donnas merged except for Lyla and Dark Angel. At the end of the story Wonder Woman brings Donna Harbinger's history orb which they kept after Lyla's death in Superman-Batman.

Oh yeah she looks at the orb and sees something wrong with the future.

lol I think Reboot just had a blow-out...

Let's just say that for those of us who miss the bronze age DCU, we're about to get a blast from the past. Whether it'll last more than 6 months we don't know yet.

The best line was "there existed many worlds separated by vibrational differences".

( choke of nostalgia) Bring back the Multiverse DC.

I think we may be visiting the multiverse, but I'd be surprised it if persists into the 'new' DCU.

However, I think it *very* likely that a selection of *characters* from various 'old' continuities will make the re-re-revised DCU their home.

I enjoyed this mini as it progressed more than most on this board-- and I really liked the concluding issue.

Donna's new HQ is visually impressive. I do wonder what Donna's role in things will be after the I-Crisis.

With Hyperion's and Thia's deaths, will other sun-entities experience an upswing in power? Specifically- Apollo, who's never had much of a part to play in DCU stories that I can remember.

I imagine the Tartarus-imprisoned Titans will appear again. Does this mean they'll be imprisoned beneath Themysicra again? Or is that connection severed?

Donna'a updated story *seems* to hang together. My memories of the other Harbinger are a bit dodgy, so I might be glossing over her being grafted into Donna's back-story.

I admit to peeking at Tamper Lad's inviso-text revelations and they don't make sense - ???? and Troia are two different people....

(I could be on a DC Panel)

Multiverse is the key here LAM.

Well, i hope the creative folk at DC will figure out a clever way to reinstate Legion history as it was meant to be - seperate from the current DC universe.

As for Stargazer's comment - i say let the multiple Earths return - I miss the annual JLA/JSA team-ups with denizens from other worlds... nod sigh

I like the twist in Donna's origin but I also was hoping for a return of Lyla.

There was a huge revelation about who Donna Troy was in another life. Yes more retconning stuff into her backstory. Once you see it, you get some sense of her role in infinite crisis.

However this series fell flat for me. The DC Boards buzzing that it was good really cements what I think of them.
yeah, you do see how important she is not only to Infinte Crisis but back to the Orignal Crisis. but it sorta left me WTF and confused. [/b]
i agree. i'm glad donna's back and that the multi verse is somewhat returning....but i just skimmed the last two issues at my comic shop. and put them back on the shelf.

i think they are trying too hard to make sense of the merged characters after crisis of infinite earths. it might be better just to have some big disaster and have everyone just be seperate again or something.... instead of trying to untie the knot.

I saw in another thread that Lyla (or Harbinger, i don't know which) was killed not so long ago... frown

In an issue of Supermna/Batman, though it's easily retconnable (is that a word?) if they feel the need.

This was easily the weakest of the IC minis - and this was an IC mini, though they didn't lable it as such. Yet another convoluted origin for Donna mixed with some unfortuante layouts.

Except that nobody was really merged post-Crisis. At least, I can't think of anyone who was. DC is simply trying to explain how everyone fits together.

Ye Gods, this makes absolutely no sense to me. Someone wanna summarize what the hell's going on to someone who only knows Donna as Wonder Girl, member of the Teen Titans and Wonder Woman girl buddy?

Meh. I'm sick of the whole brother/husband Greek god crap casserole.

Whatever happened to the days when Wonder Woman rescued you as an orphaned infant and you got to grow up on Paradise Island? Nowadays it's all incest and complication.

Hyperion and Thia are dead? confused Was this before COIE (during the Lilith-as-goddess "origin story)?

No, it was in the final issue of the mini-series we're discussing in this thread.
