^^^ That priest character was in more than just a Challengers of the Unknown revival CK. He's Rocky Davis - one of the original 4 Challengers!
I dropped Doom Patrol a couple of issues back. It had definitely improved after what I thought was a rotten start, and (like Cobie) I really like a lot of the characters Giffen is bringing in (Oberon, Crazy Jane, Thayer Jost, etc.) but something about Giffen's writing style just turns me off 50% of the time. And with comics as expensive as they are these days I need to enjoy 100% of each issue (or as close to it as possible).
I will definitely be back for whichever issue finally gives Mal and Karen Duncan some much-needed spotlight (but even there I'm extremely cautious and dubious - after Giffen so unceremoniously just squashed their whole marriage and relationship in issue #1, and excised Mal from the team completely, I'm very worried to see what he has in store for my favourite character in comics).

You're kidding me. That's Rocky? How in the world did I not notice that?! When the heck did he become a Priest? What the hell is going on? I suddenly feel like I've been daydreaming.
I love, love, love the Challs! I had no idea Rocky was the Priest at all. Of course, I have no real clue what the Challs history and current status are in continuity anyway, so that doesn't help.
Did Giffen spell this out earlier in the series?
Jillikers! I would collect a Challs series with the original 5 in a heartbeat! And they are a natural with the Doom Patrol because of their classic Silver Age crossover!

I'm pretty sure he became a priest in DCU: Last Will and Testament. He was doing confessional with Geo-Force.

Cobie, I'm glad your into DP, and yes I think that HAS to be Buggy in the tease for next issue. AWESOMENESS.
Until your synopsis, I didn't realize just how MUCH DP history Giff is using. Excellent that he is.
Question: Is DUSTY all-new or from previous history?

The last page completely takes away any post-Metal Men jitters!
Rest of the issue was good too.

Thumbs up for the latest issue. Giffen is hitting his stride. This is the best the Doom Patrol has been since Morrison. This is the best Giffen has been since the Legion. The dialogue is crisp and funny.

I was never really ino the odd Doom Patrol stuff, but this issue was great all the way around.
The last page would have made up for anything else the issue had to offer, but the rest of the issue was great.
Active LMB character is still Beast Boy.

Larry and Cliff are making this book for me. I'm really enjoying reading them, separately and especially together. Rita, though, is surprisingly boring. Take away the Mento 'revelations', and what have we seen of her- aside from 50-foot-girl visual gags?
Her best moment has been her scene with Bumblebee (who *seriously* needs to be made a more active part of this team- otherwise, what's the point?).
I love the additions of Crazy Jane and especially Danny The _________ (I know it's currently bungalow, but expect that to change).
The villain guy from the next-to-last version of the DP is pretty creepy and interesting. His team of the porcelain chick, AMV Man and Toy (should I be familiar with this character?) is weird enough to join the list of odd DP foes.

The Toy is the last surviving member of the Brotherhood of Dada.
She survived because, she was late to the meeting which ended in the Brotherhood's death.
"Excuse me? I was supposed to meet some people but I got held up. I'm a supervillain. The Toy. I'm not too late, am I?"

I'm really enjoying the current DP storyline! Like we talked about on the previous page, the Front Men consist of characters from all different eras of Doom Patrol and that is appealing to me.
Ambush Bug naturally enhances this title to the Nth degree and it's a blast. What is surprising is just how awesome the Bug / Cliff / Negative Man scenes are--I could read a 40 page comic of the three of them going to the grocery store! Hilarious! Negative Man has quickly become my favorite and he's just as hilarious as the Bug here; Robotman plays the ultimate strait man.
Giffen does a good job making us crave more of Jane, Danny, Bumblebee, Rocky and others. He's been up front with us from the beginning that this comic is first and foremost for the original four, but if he's purposely tried to whet our appetites for the others, he's done a good job. My one complaint is I wish we'd get a bit more Rita-centric stuff but that is probably coming.

12 had some great moments fro Ambush Bug! A couple of things confused me, though... the lines on the last panel for instance.... pelican...?

So, with this month's issue we finally learn the circumstances behind Rita's return from death and how she's been cut in half and simply... reformed, such as last issue.
The revelation pertains to another element from Grant Morrison's run, the pool of nano machines which almost destroyed the world.
We also see a small, but touching, moment where Bumblebee calls her estranged husband Mal Duncan, another former Titan and DP member. They don't necessarily reconnect, but Karen simply wanted to hear his voice.

I thought this was a great issue. Mostly very poignant, though the last panel seemed a little out of place with the rest of the issue. Still, I guess they needed a cliffhanger.

I'm a little behind, just catching up with #12. I really enjoyed the Front Men story-arc quite a bit and the set-up it provided! Looking forward to seeing them again.
I've noticed the Chief has begun to look an awful lot like Keith Giffen.
