Great cover for the final issue. The fun banter was there until the end. The Bug saves the day. Ending the final issue with a cliff hanger somehow seemed appropriate.
This series will be missed. It was definitely the best that the Doom Patrol has been since the Vertigo days.
Beauty's where you find it. Not just where you bump and grind it.

And now I'm left with Secret Six as the best book by DC right now.
I have to say that Giffen has been Hit and Miss for me for years since well, basically his last stint on Legion before 5YL, which I didn't care for. (I later found out about all the editorial shenanigans, and the hoops he had to jump through, but it didn't change the way I felt about the stories.)
that said, this DP was the best book out there for nearly two years. New characters, a fun, fresh take on an old team that had been run through the ringers mulitple times, and a book it didn't take only five minutes to read. There was meat on dem bones.
I didn't miss the last two iterations of the book, but this one I will definitely miss greatly. This was Giffen and company in top form.
Damn you, you kids! Get off my lawn or I'm callin' tha cops!
Something pithy!

Just read 21-22. Both issues were astounding.
Danny the Island = BADASS.
Yeah I will miss this run a LOT, from the early backups with the METAL MEN to the Bug's arrival, to the awesome cliffhanger ending... I really loved it.

I am just back from the CBS and filled with delight by the DC COMICS PRESENTS METAL MEN 100-Page Spectacular I am carrying!
What an unexpected treat; nice to have those lighthearted, funny (and well-drawn/written) backups in a collected edition!
