the end of episode 4 had them settle the current threat, although we were left with the FIRST LADY being knocked out ......

frown ....

Yet Kim continues to live on...

My interest in the latest few eps had been waning, but dang if they didn't amp it up again with this two hour night! Jack again shows that when it comes to interrogation, he's willing to do pretty much anything if he thinks it'll lead to the answers he wants, all of CTU finds itself in an impossible situation and things just get worse for poor Mr Hobbit...

Were Tony and Robocop put in the same room? It seemed inevitable, but it wasn't very clear.

I'm sure of it! It just adds to the drama... smile The moment Jack said, "Put him in medical" I smiled.

Sorry to be so vain as to quote myself, but I almost laughed outloud tonight when I was watching this double episode and I realized the color of the uniform of CTU security personnel...red! lol lol

Bunch of red shirts now. I think Jack just surpassed Kirk in that department. smile

No comments on last night's 'shocking' ending?

Another amazing episode!

Is that it for Tony, then? Man, I feel like if I watch the first four seasons and then this season, I'd be going crazy with all these deaths!

Another riveting hour...

I got the impression that was it. But maybe the soul patch will save him. wink

I don't think I saw Jack cry that hard over his wife's death.

I'm getting real tired of everybody dying. I know the writers have always seemed to say "no one is safe", but c'mon!!! Not Tony too! We just lost poor lovable goof Edgar last week, and now Tony's gone too?

This is probably an effort to show Jack no longer has anyone he can trust anymore. Tony and Jack had each other's back ever since Nina betrayed CTU at the end of season one! I liked their trust in each other, it was a big part of the show.

Jack's basically just got Chloe and Curtis left, and next week's preview isn't looking so great for Curtis either...

to be fair to those who don't want any dirty details about tonight's ep: Click Here For A SpoilerReally glad to see Palmer's brother back (although we are running a little lean on "recurring characters..." ha ha!) You knew he had to be followed to the Presidental compound... and the moment the terrorist chick mentioned the department she got her intel from, I knew whose name was about to get blurted out... Jack really not happy now!!!!!!)

I meant to comment on this, but I have to say that Audrey and Jack's kiss was possibly the most honest and loving kiss I've ever seen on television before. There was so much emotion and genuine affection in it, as well as a sense of moving past all thought-you-were-dead/slept-with-the-enemy stuff that built throughout the season/episode.

I think the woman who plays Audrey might be the most attractive woman on TV (for me).

I can't believe who was revealed to be the mastermind behind all this....

And what was up with the "Mission Impossible"ish music that was played a couple of times on Monday???? Where'd that come from?

And I see that Keifer Sutherland has reupped for duty, signing a 3 year deal with FOX to continue 24. Rumors are he's getting between $30 and $40 million, an executive producer credit on the show (currently he's only a "co-executive producer"), and will develop another show for FOX as well... not too shabby a deal!!!!

I was distracted by that music too! It's a bit too old school spy-movie for me. It *almost* works as Chloe's ersatz theme, but it really doesn't fit "24".

Jack's going to take down the President!! Wow - it's getting good again! (although this is one of those twists that I'm not sure how well would hold up if you were to look over everything that's happened so far...)

Yeah, some of this seems to be changed on the fly. You would think if Evalyn (the First Lady's aide) had a recording that implicates the Pres, and had it long enough so the bad guys kidnapped her daughter for it, when exactly did she find the time to put it in a safe deposit box in a local bank? How long ago did she get that recording? And why not tell someone...like the First Lady maybe?

Anything is an improvement over last seasons plot twists arama, and and season three's Tony/Michelle love life of unbelievability.

This is the best the shows been since Season 2.

When last season ended, I was hoping they'd get the show out of CTU to open it up a bit. Maybe next season they'll find a way to do that - at least have part of the main action take place outside of L.A. (god forbid the action takes place in different time zones!)

I think the Vice Pres has been a very interesting character on this show. That actor has impressed me before and he's doing it here again.

He had me fooled. I would have sworn he was going to be the baddie. And he may still yet be and that just makes his acting job even better.

After seeing the previews for next week's episode all I can think is "Women really need to stay away from Jack, even on a limited basis." Of course I guess you could say that about his male friends too. shake

Yeah. If I lived in LA and saw Jack walk into a gas station or something, I'd pretty much assume I'd be dying within the hour. lol
