The finale was a great show!
Santino's collection was definitely under-whelming. Weird. I expected all these exotic designs with lots of braiding and details, using those old world techniques he seemed to like so much. I expected antique colors and bohemian looking models. I wonder if this whole experience kinda made him question himself. On one hand, that's a shame because he was really interesting and talented. On the other hand, he could be a total @$$, so he had room for improvement.
Daniel's line was pretty dull actually. I know he was going for clean and simple, sophisticated, which he did, he just forgot to add any flare or interest to the pieces. I mean, this was his showcase.
Chloe's work was pretty Joan Collins as far as I could see. Yes, her work was impeccable and there was some fun to be had. I guess I just don't really know fashion that well! Still, I trust the judges.
Now that the season is over, I have to admit that I preferred last year's cast. Jay and Kara Saun and Wendy and Austin were just all more colorful contestants. They were all so different and their work seemed more inspired. I think they were overall, more creative.
Still, I look forward to another season!
