If people are tired of seeing Brainy, maybe he could go on sick leave after his encounter with Saturn Queen and Professor Harmonia Li could take his place (temporarily) as the resident big brain. We don't know what her intelligence level is, but her common sense must be a Level 10 at least.

I just hope she doesn't know any martial arts, being an Oriental woman. Give her a a good old-fashioned gun or let her be a surfer or gourmet cook or something.

She won't be the new Insect Queen because Insect Queen has already shown up in the Superman books. It was some insectoid alien who copied and later possessed Lana.

My fear is that she becomes Karate Kid 3.

One of my outlandish theories came true! Well, half true anyway.
So, in # 7 we discover that Prof. Li is really, really, super-duper old & that she used to live on Earth. Oh, also she can play a mean ancient musical instrument & has Brainy & the High Seer panting like dogs in heat!

I haven't had a chance to give my theory as to who HL might be.
Whoever or whatever she really is I hope she doesn't go on to, oh I don't know, mentor the new Green Lantern Legionnaire or something silly like that.

I wonder if she is not some how connected to Jong Li Earth's first Green Lantern from the Green Lantern: Dragon Lord limited series?

Were I evil (okay, more evil...), I would have used my position at the post office to send a thousand votes for Harmonia Li to be Legion Leader, using different names and area stamps, so that they appeared to be from different areas of the country and force Paul Levitz to deal with that.

But that wouldn't be punishing him, since he actually seems to like the character, so much as punishing myself...

I'd be sending DC a cart load of red shirts in her size.

Heh, she's already wearing a lot of red... That reminds me that her new look is about the only thing I like about the character.

I'm still burned that an ethnic Chinese character is mastering the four Greek elements, and not the five Chinese elements... (And she's generally shown using air/wind powers, which is the one element of the 'classic four' she shouldn't have!)

For Paul, with his clever wordplay with Dyogene / Diogenes, and the world Panopticon, I expect better use of Wikipedia.

Well, those are also four of the five Japanese elements, and four of the five Tibetan ones, so maybe Paul got confused Or he thought giving her metal would make Cosmic Boy redundant, but didn't care about making Nightwind redundant since he'd exiled her to Takron-Galtos...

and he thought nothing would make Sun Boy redundant anyway.

I wonder if Paul will write a story with Dragonwing and Harmonia discussing their "shared" homeland. Doesn't seem like Harmonia's been keeping either her ethnicity or her "immortality" secret.
