We know from dotLEGION that Coluans are easy to clone, so Brainy would certainly have that ready is he ever gets killed.

And I suspect that Vi has hands with short nails.

What if the guy under the flag isn't the one who's dead? That brings the whole roster back into play. Ok, it might be a stretch but it could be BB kayoed when the flagpole fell on him. (Or something much cleverer)

The flagpole is Cham! When he's killed, he falls on someone else!

Bite your tongue! It's just one of Lu's duplicates. They won't miss just one out of an infinite number of copies, now will they...

I think noone has asked the very obvious question here yet .... why kill off anyone at this point? Just to make a story poignant? Gimme a break, that in itself is trite and contrived. Someone said it earlier I think, killing off Earth Man at this point would only elevate the bum to "hero" status or martyr status, and who really wants that for him, not me!

Lets go back to basics and think of a better solution to all this (defeating the LSV and eliminating EM from the team). We as readers aren't sitting there thinking "boy the Legion is taking on the Super-Villians so one of the good guys probably has to die" .... SORRY CHARLIE, the Legion has fought these bad guys many times before and even tougher opponents too (Fatal Five, Darkseid) and there were NO casualties. They used their skills and smarts to win the day, over and over again.
The death of Karate Kid at the hands of Nemesis Kid was more of a sub-plot to that particular LSV storyline and a one-off in my opinion.

Don't give us a death just to illicit some cheap emotion. Give us the clever, experienced Legion we know and love.

P.S. Shouldn't Dream Girl be saying "I saw a Legionnaire die" right about now??? I'm speaking from the historical record of coarse.

Perhaps, in a nice bit of symmetry, it is Karate Kid again?

Is there really any point to bringing the poor dude back just so he can die again?

Besides, a very adult Jeckie pining for a guy who (in Adventure) looked to be maybe sixteen or seventeen is kind of... icky. And between Shady/EM and Imra mind-wiping Cos in bed I think we've already reached and exceeded our "ick" quotient for about the next twenty years.

^ Not the same "Stu" you're thinking of, Candle. The one from the old DC Boards rarely posts anymore, and when he does, it's under a totally non-Stu-y alt. frown

(No offense intended to "stuorstew" intended, btw)

Just happened in LSH #14. If it is who she thinks it is then the hand in the picture should have been wearing a glove. If her vision turns out (as they so often do) to be misleading, then we still know it won't be her or Brainy since they were alive in the vision.
