SPOILERS AHOY

Page 1 shows a <choke> Click Here For A Spoilermemorial staute to Mon-El.

Because of Victoria Day, I won't be getting this until tomorrow. So I haven't read any of the above posts.

Sour.

This will also delay my review on Legion Abstract. I hate that.

Okay, so Cos's plan seemed a little bit far-fetched.

And I was a bit confused by by Mekt asking about Nura. I think that dialogue bubble must've been meant for someone else.

But, yeah. Other than that it kind of rocked.

A nice effort to wrap things up, but the issue serves as a another reminder of why I am glad the Waid run is ending.

The fate of Dream Girl is finally clarified only 17 issues after her "death". And, as with previous storylines, is somewhat of a letdown. Dream Boy is finally utilized in a positive way a year and a half after his introduction. Gosh, wish I could get excited about this.

Did we actually get another little glimmer as to what is truly going on with Supergirl? The explanation of what really happened and why in the main story didn't gel very well with me. Of course we get some confusing (to me infuriating) teasers regarding the results of the election for leader. This sub plot has been going on for what, a year now?

On the postive side it is nice to see a departing team given the the opportunity and put some real effort into resolving so many dangling threads. The Knights Tempus concept is interesting and original, and may go a long way toward resolving the issue raised in another thread here of time travel being boring in Legion stories.

Heres hoping the new creative teams will build on some of the many interesting things that Waid left us, while getting a better grip on pacing and storyline resolution.

Honestly, I don't think I was ever as shocked by the first page of a Legion comic book in all my life.

The second biggest spoiler -- the secret Cos must hide from Mekt at all costs -- hasn't been revealed yet, but I'm not going to give it away. This is one issue you absolutely must read for yourselves. Yeah, it seriously rocked.

As I say in a review I just posted on my blog, as much as I enjoyed Waid's run on the title, it's just full of exposition, isn't it.

Instead of seeing the climactic battle, we find out that it already happened?

Since issue 1, this series has felt like a bunch of people talking about what they plan to do or what they already did. I liked it BECAUSE it was the Legion (or a version of it, anyway) doing the talking, but seriously, how about "show, don't tell"?

Anyone else feel this way?

I kinda agree. But, this was a pretty great issue and it did a better job of wrapping up WaK's adventures with the team than I dreamed possible in one issue.

So, it definitely rocked for me. And, yes the big secret was great not to be spoiled before I read it, so let's keep it that way for everyone else.

(I kept wondering why EDE liked it so much as I read through it...until the end...though.)

Thanks Mak and Barry for an incredible (if not always perfect) ride! smile

You know... I've been complaining about the exposition over action thing this whole time, but somehow showing us the ending first kind of worked this time.

And, yeah, that's pretty much what I went through when I was reading it, Nighty. Not very happy... until the end.

SPILL it!! please PM me! Since I have to wait for one month to get #30 from a mail-order company. I am more and more curious on what you are talking about - so very mysterious like I have to be a Nancy Drew trying to decipher the hidden message from you. it's driving me nuts. Even I went to DC Message Board, not very helpful since you guys are much more vocal and more lively than them. argh! so please PM me, *begs and kneeling and begs - will kiss your feet if have to*

now I have questions - you're ominously saying that Dream Girl is alive? that Dream Boy is actually Dream Girl being transgenderized?

Mon-El dead or *presumably* dead? Say it ain't so!

Will we see Cosmic Boy and the Knights Tempus again sometimes soon - more like during 50 year anniversary?

is there a connection between Knights and Justice Legion A? (i know it's far fetched, but I am trying to be humorous.)

what Ending?!? what page 21?!? that's part I am very curious! argh!

Cos has a secret? that he is a magnoball dork instead of 3-time magnoball champion?

PM me! please? smile

thank you so I feel better but still wants to thirst for secret...but two beautiful pages will do for an instant gratification, again thanks, Nightcrawler.

I am hoping that they will find a way to bring back Dream Girl and Mon-El back alive into the Legion somehow, especially with 50th year anniversary soon.

Hi Guys
It's really good to read that so many of you enjoyed the issue!

It's been the most amazing ride for me as the artist on the book - not least of which was getting to meet and interact with you all here on Legion World. I hope most of us can keep in touch! smile

I'll try to answer as many questions that anyone has left outstanding from our run when a few more have had a chance to read the issue... and reveal a few secrets behind the scenes too!

Thanks again for all your comments over the last couple of years. Lad Boy, I couldn't have asked for a nicer parting comment - it's much appreciated!
smile

Cheers

2 Thumbs Up on the art for the issue, 2 Thumbs Down on the coloring.

Barry's pencils are SO amazing. And yes, an all pencils issue would have been VERY nice.

Thanks again Barry!

regarding brainy's plan Click Here For A Spoiler shouldn't the removal of a planet, cause all kinds of havoc with the surrounding galaxy? that's a lot of mass to just suddenly not be there. I would hate to be living on a planet within that galaxy

Nah, the gravitational effects of eliminating a single medium-sized planet shouldn't matter that much. If it were a gas giant, it might affect the orbit of other planets in the star system, but it's not going to have a significant effect on planets in other star systems.

Looks to be Brainy's Coluan Sidekick. He's such a wannabe, let's call him Co-Processor Kid.

I just got the issue. I enjoyed it very much. A couple of unexpected twists and quite a few things were wrapped up. Also a bunch of things for others to build on if they wish. Barry's art was as good as we've come to expect. I'm going to miss his renderings of all the Legionnaires.

All in all, a satisfying conclusion to the story.
