To make use of a message icon, simply click on the boring old to the left of the quick reply box (assuming you have that turned on)! In Full Reply Form mode, the boring old is above your post!

Probably because most posters use the Quick Reply and just don't know you can change it from there.

And actually, I set it up this way so that I could add more without forcing the reply page to load them all up.
...not to mention it adds them nicely to the quick reply.

Yeah, the QR thing's necessary (how many people use the "Full Reply Form" these days, really?), but it's slick in the way that buses run better if they don't have to bother with passengers...

They don't show up for me when I click on them, only in the final post. And they get "lost" if I edit the post for similar reasons.
