Just when I felt like I WAS missing the DC Boards, particularly the JSA & Teen Titans forums and ODCUT.

Okay, so what did the rest of us miss here? All I see are broken pictures links. Or do we really want to know?

They're of the many cheesey new banners on the DC MB.

Well I've tried it on my Windows XP Home, Windows XP Profession and Windows 98 machines and not one of them show the banners. Even if I go to the DC site, I can't see them.

I've always had trouble with the banners there not showing.

The old DC board and LEGION WORLD were/are Sooooooo much classier without the silly "SEND A SMOOCH!" banners.

Those banners are just embarrassing! Do you really want to be in the same target market as the fans of the "Care Bears"?

I know. I should have just trusted Lash and Gary but curiousity got the best of me. At least now they are on the first page and I don't have to look at them again.

Oh, I did bop in recently at the DCMBs to check out a reported Dawnstar thread. They're back to that latest-posts-first mishigass. Oy, is a pain in the tzookis. (Channeling Yiddish from watching Adam Goldberg in "The Hebrew Hammer" on Comedy Central last night.)

We started to watch it but it got to be too late. Saved it to my Tivo though. Was it worth watching? The first 5-10 minutes were hilarious.

They, er, hammered on a flimsy comedic plot (the latest and malicious Santa wants to abolish Hanukkah, the Hammer's out to stop him) for a bit too long, and it looked like the production budget was about $10,000, but it was notably amusing.

You have to know a bit of Yiddish to get some of the jokes, though (or just a few Jewish friends), and the "bleep"s were getting distracting. Still, do see it without the ads ... wish I had a TiVo.

I believe that it's a preferences setting. When I go there I see the last post last.

I believe that if you go to the DC boards and have the latest post first, all you have to do is go into your preference setting, set it to first- first (or however it is stated)then accept it. then you'll get the posts in the order you want. The only thing is, is that you have to do that everytime you visit the boards.

I had mine reset to show the last post last but, like Grey, mine have all reverted to the last post being first, even with that setting. I just don't find it worth my time to try going there anymore.

Now now, boys and girls. We have to consider that some bright intern somewhere might have actually read the threads asking for a little crossmarketing to promote the comic books. Hopefully they are shown on other DC sights trying to bring in a new market...
