Triad Semi did you create the original SHAKES thread that is now called SHAKES Archives? Are you the "owner" of this establishment or just the best damn bartender, ever? Triad

He's all of the above! cool

He's created a series of highly-lauded mixed drinks named after prominent LWers! (There's a list in the bar in my mansion...)

Isn't it perpetually summer at LW -- or at least that part of LW in which SHAKES is located?

Anyway, I'm still hanging out here in my board shorts and Hawaiian shirt, enjoying a pina colada...

I can't turn over! frown I fell asleep earlier and someone ran off with my towel, so I'd be, um, exposed if I turned over!

Can I just stay like this for a bit while someone brings me drinks? (I'd like a Va-Va-Va-Vee, please!)

PrincessProjectra Thank you, Vee. I'm not sure what to have. I'm intrigued by these drinks that STUey keeps mentioning. Maybe Semi will consider creating an Iced Miss T. or something even more faboo! PrincessProjectra

There's a list of all the drinks created so far, along with their ingredients, on the STU's Mansion thread -- it's probably page one or two. Isn't Semi the greatest? smile

Thanks! smile

[nervous] I just hope the illusion doesn't fade at an inopportune time, like when I'm among the crowd at the SHAKES daily happy hour... [/nervous]

Poor Future, big things can frighten people. The water looks nice, I wonder if I should jump in?

Hi everybody, I'm back from a week of entertaining my mom. To answer a few questions:

(1) yes I did start SHAKES, Miss T. It was a quiet Saturday night and I was having a martini so I thought I'd pour virtual ones for any LW'ers on line.

(2) Actually, the pool closed on September 20. That's a mighty powerful illusion that you've all been jumping into.

(3) Why yes, Miss T, I would be delighted to create a drink in your honor. I call it

"The Misty Delight"

Start will 1 oz of simple syrup (sugar and water boiled down), infused with fresh mint and lime. Pour it into a shaker with 2 oz. of gin, 1 oz. of champagne, and 2 oz. of sparkling water. Prepare a tall, frozen, skinny glass by running a freshly cut lime around the top and dipping the rim in sugar. Fill the glass with roughly crushed ice, and pour in the drink. Garnish with a twist of lime and a sprig of mint.

Cheers, I hope you like it. cheers
