Maybe when Troy gets off work, later this week, he could take you to a droid bar. But I have to warn you, they're a bunch of sex machines there and they never stop.

I always wondered what it was that Mantis saw in them. I guess now I know...

I'll be sure to bring some motor oil or other appropriate lubricant.

Wear rubber-soled shoes. That'll help you avoid any nasty electrical shocks!

Droids do not have metal skeletons. They are constructed of Neoderm™ over Ossi-form™, with a fully functionning Pari-vascular™ system and Novo-nueral™ net. It's really difficult to tell them from the real thing (assuming of course that we are not a bio-engineered species ourselves).

Anybody want a drink? Babette will bring it over. (She's been taking diction and elocution lessons. Please try and notice. She'd appreciate it.)

Babette, be a babe and bring me a Blaine Blaster.

*dreamy sigh* Troy boys make the best boy toys.

Babette, take this Blaine Blaster to the babe sitting by the fire-place. I think she might know something about Joseph Campbell's Hero With a Thousand Faces. Why don't you engage her in a conversation about the role of "the herald" in our own lives.

It a middle-of-the-week kind of day...obviously! What do you recommend for such an occasion, Semi?

Well, the middle is between the beginning and the end or between the Past and the Future - i.e., these are the days of Future Past. Now if you're as befuddled as I am, you'll need a drink, which leads me, aptly, to the introduction of SHAKES latest signature drink:

The Future Fizz

In a tall glass filled with ice, pour a shot of very good bourbon, a spritz of seltzer, a dash of bitters, a splash of sweet vermouth and top it off with ginger beer and a twist of lemon.

Enjoy.

Here you are darling. My but you're such a pretty little thing. How come you don't have a whole crowd of handsome boys begging for your attention?

If I had a dinner party and could invite anyone from LW, it'd be Semi, Cramey, Scooter & Caroline. I would be mesmerized, enlightened, and thoroughly entertained the entire night.

If I could have my own gaggle of Troy-Brads, I'd pick Cobie, EDE, Abin, Kent, Numfies, Far, Future, & Lou. I'd dress them in palm fronds and flip-flops and they'd have to listen to me talk about every minute detail of my day. And how it made me feel. And then we'd have sex! *tee hee*

The dinner party would be more fun, though. laugh

I'll get this one, Babette.

Trackstar, that's your name, right? I've been a fan of yours for a long time. It would be such an honor to bring you a cocktail. May I?

Intimidation! Try and find a guy that's isn't intimidated by a woman with this much power. Troy and you are new faces, where have you been hiding?

Oh we've been working here at SHAKES almost from the beginning. Semi recently installed human interaction protocols in us. Now that I can converse, I feel almost like a real girl.

Babette can talk now?

Wow. Next, we'll have color TV in here!

White. A blank page or canvas. His favorite. So... many... possibilities.

Semi, I'd like to add this entry to the LW Directory. Does it meet with your approval or would you like to add/detract anything to/from it, darling?

Babette & Troy, droid servers employed at SHAKES. They are described as not having "metal skeletons. They are constructed of Neoderm™ over Ossi-form™, with a fully functionning Pari-vascular™ system and Novo-nueral™ net. It's really difficult to tell them from the real thing (assuming of course that we are not a bio-engineered species ourselves)."
