So, Tyroc... I guess he's continuing the Luke Cage tradition of characters having an awful/funny looking First Appearance costume. Sweet Christmas!
[Yes, I know he has history in the LSH, there are lots of people who like the character, yada, yada. But the guy stands out for having the worst costume I have seen on a male character. And yes, there are lots of bad female costumes as well.]

SOooo without reading the entire thread,
Do I see Gates thrid face down the feathers from Light lass (or whatever they're calling her) and above the little cape? My imagination playing with the costume?

While I never cared for the costume or character (until v4) I think he looks awesome on that cover...including the costume. Best he's ever looked.

Is it just me or does it look like to anyone else that there are 2 Ayla's on that cover? One the current threeboot Light Lass and another character on the bottom right side with a similar jagged pattern on her pants similar to threeboot Lightning Lad. Oh she even seems to have twin lightning bolt shoulderpads attached to her white tanktop.

One of the legionnaires. She was first introduced in #1 where she gave reports to Sun Boy, and has been seen sporadically since then, including in the last issue.

They're not exactly arms. More like tenticles. Each one acts as a viewscreen picking up various broadcasts. We don't know yet if these are natural or not. I suspect not. Very neat/wierd use for biotechnolgy.

anyone wants to see Mon-El the only one to be drawn on the cover of Legion #16 - hovering in space in front of the Legionnaires? That imagine just comes up in my mind - thinking that it could be him to make the greatest comeback to the Legion ever - since he was the only one that has not been mentioned at all (alongside Wildfire - two of the most powerful members!) Now I am more curious and curious.

All this excitement over the mere COVER IMAGE of Dawnstar, Tyroc and Blok... DAWNSTAR, TYROC and BLOK. Think about it for a sec.
When will the powers-that-be at DC wake up and smell the latte'?
THE FANS WANT THESE GUYS BACK.
ALL OF THEM.
Wildfire, White Witch, Mon-El, Chemical King, Bouncing Boy, Matter-Eater Lad, Jacques Foccart (give him teleportation powers or something), the SUBS characters, Infectious Lass, Gates, XS--- well, you know who isn't here and should be.
When will DC do themselves a favor, and just frickin' bring 'em back?
NO ONE GIVES A FRAGGIN' FLIP HOW YOU DO IT, JUST DO IT.
Bring 'em back.
Bring 'em ALL back.

Speaking of White Witch, I wonder if she will find out about her older sister's death? How will she react?

But Is the White Witch related to Dream Girl in this reality?

Bring 'em ALL back. [/b] well as a LSH newbie(that's not really right, it's almost 12 issues now,but you know what I mean) I am just starting to know Xanthu(sp?) from Talok. and we still don't know much about the team members we have been shown so far. besides a sugar allergy what's Starboy's story? is he wealthy, poor, an outcast, or a celeb back home. does he have a family, enemies, lost loves, etc, etc. the same goes for many other members on the team. I would rather see a small team where every member gets significant development rather than a super walmart size team were most members are only seen in passing. one of my pet peeves is a large enesemble cast where the focus is only 2 or 3 members. hopefully, this book won't fall into that trap.

And besides... yes, I want those guys back, but I don't want them back regardless of anything else. I want to read a good comic. I'd rather read a good comic without Blok than a bad comic with him.
Besides, all these characters... if they were to be brought back, would they still be who they were? How much of what we love about, say, Dawnstar, is an artifact of the stories and world she appeared in? Would she be the same in this version of the Legion? Or would we be better off just reading the back issues?

I think the current creative team has done a great job of keeping the charaters close in personality to their previous incarnations and don't see why they couldn't provide that same level of quality to Dawnstar, Blok, etc.
