Naturally, the reveal that the Legion of Super-Heroes has been appended to the history of the DCFU Earth-Two is pointless and immaterial. (First, seeing as how the Legion has gone the way of Madame Fatal and the Blue Snowman.) (Second, if the Legion ever comes back, it will probably be post-DCFU anyway.)
But what would be the implications if the Legion really was the future of Earth-Two? For the history of the Legion, and the pre-history of Earth-2?
• Was Kal-L the Superboy of the 31st century? • Did Kara / Karen Starr join the Legion as Supergirl / Powergirl? • Was she Brainiac 5’s girlfriend? • Is Mon-El from Daxam-2? I don’t think we have seen an Earth-1 Mon-El since Flashpoint; I could easily be wrong. • Pete Ross? Lana Lang? • Could Harmonia Li be the Ultra-Humanite?
I will disclose that I have really had no interest in following the DCFU Earth-Two, so I really can’t speak too much to it. Anybody else got ideas?

What is Earth 2? Is that the original JSA Earth that Flash would cross over to?

This is Earth-Two. Supposed to be very popular.

I think you're missing the most important implication. The original DCFU Legion was the Universoverse one from Morrison's Action Comics, and although they rewrote their own history away to avoid Universo taking over (presumably giving rise to JL3k instead)... that only happened in the present-day. Which means DCFU Orando is Snakeworld • Was Kal-L the Superboy of the 31st century? -El, not -L for the DCFU E2. And the panel I saw on Bleeding Cool seems to strongly suggest that is indeed the case, and this Legion's Superboy/man died in Earth 2 #1: ![[Linked Image]](https://www.legionworld.net/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=download&Number=1941&filename=superman-600x212.png) • Did Kara / Karen Starr join the Legion as Supergirl / Powergirl? • Was she Brainiac 5’s girlfriend? Well, her regular writer is a Mr. Levitz. So whatever pushed him into suggesting the E2 link, that leaves him free reign* to confirm or refute the suggestion that DCFU-E2's Supergirl/Powergirl was part of the N52 LSH. And so gives him an excuse to use his Legion in Worlds' Finest. *Insomuch as any N52 writer other than Johns has free reign, that is. • Is Mon-El from Daxam-2? I don’t think we have seen an Earth-1 Mon-El since Flashpoint; I could easily be wrong. DCFU's Earth One is the OGN line with JMS/Shane Davis Superman, Geoff Johns/Gary Frank Batman and Grant Morrison/Yanick Paquette Wonder Woman, not the New 52 universe (which doesn't really HAVE a name). What is Earth 2? Is that the original JSA Earth that Flash would cross over to? No, it's the book Earth 2, with rebooted-in-the-present versions of the JSA characters. Probably should change the title to Earth 2 rather than -Two, which was used Pre-Crisis. Also, it's not really the Retroboot Legion - the Retroboot team involved Lightning Saga/Countdown/New Krypton, none of which happened in the DCFU.

Better yet, what if the retroboot were retconned out of existence altogether?
First comic books ever bought: A DC four-for-47-cents grab bag that included Adventure #331. The rest is history.

But if the Retroboot Legion is really the Original Legion in Paul Levitz's eyes, then would this mean that the whole Legion franchise was just retconned out of existence altogether as well? Interesting scenario that none of our beloved Legions really exist anymore!

Interesting scenario that none of our beloved Legions really exist anymore! Want them back? Any of them? The best way for that to happen is if JL3K fails - best way to accomplish that is if no one buys it. And, yes, if Levitz is running Earth-2 then maybe he won't be constrained by the current editorial nonsense that ruins the DCfU. In fact, this is probably the best hope of having the Legion make a return visit and regain popularity. An Earth-2/Legion crossover might just be pretty cool.

Actually, in-story it would be pretty easy to bring any prior version of the Legion back. They could just appear without explanation, with a blurb in the issue saying that this issue picks up where issue # (insert number here) left off. The hard part is convincing DC leadership/editorial to let that happen. First, we have to assume that they will interpet a fall in sales the way we do - that we want an old version of the Legion back (with quality writing of course) - which would mean we'd have to assume they're perfectly rational and intelligent

Well, you can count on me not buying JL3K. I asked at my local comic shop yesterday; absolutely no one has pre-bought or pre-ordered it and there has been very little interest in it.

By that logic, even if the audience doesn't like what you're giving them and walks away, was it still really what you (Moore) believed that they needed? If I want a cheeseburger and the "artist" insists that that I 'need' pickled cabbage, I'll go elsewhere and to a different artist and get a cheeseburger. Alan Moore should write. Just write and nothing more.

Well, you can count on me not buying JL3K. I think I recall someone asking me to buy it and write a "Conjure Reviews LJ3K" thread. I'm probably going to do it, but I won't like it and I might burn them after reading them.

It would be fun in a twisted sort of way if we all read JL3K just so we could rip it apart when we review it, but I don't know if that many of us are masochistic enough for that By that logic, even if the audience doesn't like what you're giving them and walks away, was it still really what you (Moore) believed that they needed? If I want a cheeseburger and the "artist" insists that that I 'need' pickled cabbage, I'll go elsewhere and to a different artist and get a cheeseburger. Alan Moore should write. Just write and nothing more. Even if we do follow that logic, I'd argue that what we NEED is good writing and good art that treats our characters respectfully and opens up new ideas. Sadly, we haven't gotten much of that
