Not a great deal to report this week. As expected: Went to ale festival, and therefore didn't lose anything

That's why Green Lanterns charge their rings every 24 hours!

Sgt Smugboots reporting for reporting, Sir!...sorry Ma'am..it's the weight lifting you've been doing Ma'am...or is it Sir?
I hit my weight target last night. Yay! I'm a bit surprised actually. I was keeping to the verboten list, but wasn't quite getting the balanced diet in the same way as at the start.
I'm suspicious enough to think it may have been a blip, but I must be pretty close.
The only thing that could foil me now is some giant cultist festival involving large quantities of oval shaped chocolates. And how likely is something as silly sounding as that?

Just checking in to report that my weight has stayed at the new, low level. Still need to get more exercise in though.
For some reason, my new low weight allows me cake and fries occasionally with no noticeable weight gain. I can only conclude that this is my mutant power that was shut off during some Marvel Event that I missed.

I lost about fifteen pounds in three weeks by simply drinking water instead of diet and/or tea drinks, and eating lightly. Don't recommend it though.

Wow, rick, quite a lot of weight lost!
Those tea drinks probably had a lot of sugar in them,

Not drinking diet sodas in the first place made things easier for me. But it's the lower sugar levels that I have now I'm probably most grateful for. My day doesn't have those snack fuelled energy spikes.

I don't remember what it was like when I was drinking diet sodas. I do know that when I drink them now I feel icky abiut the amount of sugar in them.

I've now lost a total of 20 pounds since February. I bought new, smaller pants this week.

So, in the last year I've gained 15 pounds. On top of turning 43 It looks like my miraculous metabolism has wore out, and I stopped exercising a couple years ago
Now I've gotten a home elliptical machine, and I'm doing one of those Boost meal replacements for lunch.
We'll see what happens.

Do people find it more helpful to have a specific weight goal or to just have a "healthy lifestyle/get thinner" goal?

For me it was not having a goal. I just made it a point to work out at least 4 times a week and to eliminate certain foods from my diet. Over 4 years I lost 50 pounds.
