I like Max Landis, but his take on Superman isn't one I'm really interested in.

Is Max Landis the son of John "An American Werewolf in London" Landis?

Awww... That reminds me, I tried doing an all-Spanish thread in the MMB years ago. I think I'll bump it, see if it takes off this time.

Cheers, KK. Probably Landis' second-best movie, after "Animal House", IMO.

The other night I rewatched 12 Angry Men. I really like this film. It had a pretty all-star cast too. One of the jurors was the actor that played Mr. Peterman on the Bob Newhart Show. One of the better lines occurs when one of the jurors starts sprouting some really racist stuff and just about all the other jurors turn their backs to him. He then says to EG Marshall (the only one who hasn't turned his back) to "listen to me". EG Marshall's character responds "I have. Now sit down and don't open your mouth again."

It's a great movie. I'm always struck by the ending where after undertaking this monumental task of saving a man's life, juror #8 just walks away into anonymity with no one but the 12 knowing how it all happened.

When they take the initial vote, I always think "no, no. Taking an initial vote locks most people in. You should discuss the case first."

Spoken from experience, Quis? But it makes sense. There are many psych theories that discuss how people tend to be more receptive to evidence that supports their preconceptions.
