A few friends and I were discussing a few weeks ago the ultimate 90's songs to "get it on" to--we're all around the same age of 31-35 or so and "came of age" in the 90's.

Everyone agreed that mine was the best:

I know my 90's hook up music. Trust wink

And just for the hell of it, since its kinda related to sexy R&B singers of the 90's, here is a video that I'm loving. Mainly because not only is Natalie La Rose stunning, but she's paying homage to a girl young Cobie loooooved in the 90's, which was my girl Aaliyah. (Or at least, I think she is.)

And here is my go-to song when I'm feeling bad... or when I just want to sing along to something.

Despite an awesome music video, Ellie Goulding's "On My Mind", the lead single from her new album, was a disappointment to me. This video-less promotional single, on the other hand, sounds much better:

Not much that I like on the charts ATM, so I'm stepping back in time:

The "Umineko" visual novel series has got some of THE best music in video games/sound novels history. They've got at least a dozen different composers contributing to the games' music, and it ranges from classical piano to hot blooded action movie fighting music.

"White Shadow" by Dai.

"worldend dominator" by ZTS.

"The End of the World" by Xaki.

"Surrounding" by pre-holder.

Well, latest favourite dusted off song anyway,,,

I remember my brother getting this one (although I was keen to listen to it) and there being so few tracks on it. Value for money is important on pocket pennies. Still, it's one of the few Pet Shop Boys tracks I still listen to.

As much as I like the Ting Tings, this mash up has added Knack coolness...

Awesome, I love Royal Blood, they rock! Figure It Out, man. smile

And I haven't heard the Tings Tings mash-up, thanks for posting that.

My latest favorite is the Last Shadow Puppets, an Alex Turner (Arctic Monkeys) side project: "Bad Habits"

Actually, it's been a favorite for years, but today is the first time in a long time that I've played it. Monday Michiru's jazz vocals are divine, played off the deft flourishes from that French-sounding squeezebox. love
