Did your character appear in the Giffen/ DeMatteis run of the JLA?

Possible, but I can't find a specific instance (boy, that sure is a specific question  ) - has worn a cape, but not a mask - super powered form does not have to leave body in order to use abilities - may have fought giant starfish before, but I cannot recall a specific instance - could lift a starfish the size of a small truck - didn't appear during the Giffen/DeMatteis run of the JLA - did not have a confrontation with the Spectre - not Jack Knight

hmm this character has had a lot of ups and downs through the years... but I think this character would lean heroic

Is this character a ruler of her home planet, or a member of a ruling class (e.g., Princess but not ruling because there's a king)?

Yes, this character would belong to one of those groupings.
My character:
- has worn a cape, but not a mask
- super powered form does not have to leave body in order to use abilities
- may have fought giant starfish before, but I cannot recall a specific instance
- could lift a starfish the size of a small truck
- didn't appear during the Giffen/DeMatteis run of the JLA
- did not have a confrontation with the Spectre
- not Jack Knight
- is an alien whose form is humanoid, but does not resemble a human male
- would lean towards being considered heroic, but has had ups and downs through the years
- is either a ruler of home planet, or a member of the ruling class

I've always liked Maxima - that Armageddon 2001 Annual in which Superman marries her is one of my favorite Superman stories ever.

Yeah, I always liked Maxima too. I followed her JLA career with interest. I felt that developments after that weakened her character though, by making her obsessed with Superman again.

OK, I'm thinking of a DCU character. just read this - what a great issue. I wish someone would revisit that timeline and show us more of Maxima and Superman. She acts like a great queen there , regal and willing to learn
