It's hard not to mention Fortress Lad, when you're standing in him. I keep wanting to apologise all the time.

Is the plumbing in the Fortress Lad clubhouse installed by the Legion or part of his?

Is it true that in a dark version of the book, villains are left to be dissolved by Fortress Lad's digestive juices?

Does anyone else watching HR Giger's work in Alien wonder if he was really thinking of Fortress Lad's powers?

And then there's always the option of making fun of Sting's voice:

"Riff rah build a fortress rah round rah har…"

While visiting friends in Scotland we were at Balmoral. My friends said that they didn’t hear the Boston accent when I talked. I thanked them then read the pamphlet. It said that the admission price went to the Royal Cancer Society. I repeated this but it came out as the Royal Cansah Society. My friends laughed.

I swear that I didn’t do it on purpose.

I could see Fortress Lad speaking with a Scottish accent.

Not another retcon! Fortress Lad is from Fwang, not Scotland!

Fwangians speak with an American Southern accent. “Y’all better get out of mah spleen!”

Hmm... maybe.

Surely the Scots get Plaid Lad, though?

Why, Judy Tenuta, of course.

"HE had an accordion, TOO. IT COULD HAPPEN."

I love Judy Tenuta.

I was coming home from work. It could happen! And my house was gone. I thought “It’s my fault for leaving it out in the open!”

There were a bunch of firemen. They said “Judy, your brother Bosco burnt down your house.” I said “Bosco, why’d you torch the house?” “It was laughing at me!” I said “Bosco, it was laughing with you.” Some people have no concept of reality!

Judy Tenuta: Very funny, but with a voice that makes my ears want to leave my head and run for cover.

Now, let's talk about Fran Drescher's voice...

"Ooh, Mr. Sheffield! Hahahahahaha."

I personally find both Fran Drescher's voice and Judy Tenuta's voice endearing rather than annoying. shrug

A girl I had a crush on in college, had a voice that reminded me of Fran's.

Was she a "hostess with the mostest," like Fran's character Bobbi Flekman in the movie "This Is Spinal Tap?"

Must all hostesses carry a supply of hostess cakes?
