Here's one that gave me some problems, both story-wise and uniform-wise, but I think it'll pay off... "Outcry" - Troy Stewart You'll notice I didn't really use any aspects of his first suit, which looked made him look like a Kirby-Inspired male stripped. I wanted something that would fit with the character that I made; I made the uniform fit a little looser than others and look a bit more ornimental (what with the shoulder archs) but was still functional. I added the head tattoo because it again fit with the character.... In this universe, there is a small astroid colony called Marzal near the Outer Sol Asteroid Field, inhabited mainly by religious praticioners. The Monks of Marzal believe that, through harmonic manipulation and acoustic frequencies, one can alter the universe around oneself. Their greatest protege is a young man named Troy Stewart, who has honed the mystical skills of the monks to an unheard of degree. Tattoed with their ancient seal of Mastery, Troy has been sent out to better the universe; to try and bring social harmony to those without it. His travels have brought him here, to the doorstep of the Legion of Superheroes.

"Meta" - Kent Shakespeare While this may be the future, Kent could easily be the kid from down your street. While Mon and Dev may personify the outsider, alien feelings of Superman for me, Kent is the Kansas farmboy. Sweet, kind, gentle and caring, I put patriotic colors on him, even though the concept of America is outmodded in the 30th century, Kent is still an "All-American Boy", and his costume reflects that. As for the codename: "Impulse" was already taken, and doesn't fit Kent all too well anyway. He was a normal human and is now a "Meta-human", hence the name.

Love Hawkgirl-Dawnstar! Also as a guy that never cared for Kinetix I really like that costume!
Great idea for Ayla! Really like the effects! Comics should use more of that. Nice to see Neon involved! Pretty good suit!
Tyroc? Bravo! In my Legion micro thread I talked how hard it is to come up with a costume for Tyroc. You followed my train of thought. I said I can either go cosmic egyptian which somewhat fits his original look. OR go brand new modern snazzy looking space suit as you did! Great idea! Great codename as well!
I like Kent's new codename as well. I agree with the Kent being all about apple pie. Superman was his inspiration. Like the colors mostly because I would've gone with mostly white and some red since he's a doctor. The blue fits. Suggestion? Keep everything the same but make the sleeves short?

"Shadow Lass" - Tasmia Mallor The same school of thought that I put into Projectra, I put into Tasmia. She's a Champion of a planet that carries spears around a spaceport, and her costume should reflect that anachronistic quality, what with the gauntlets and the sandles. I went with a "Moon" symbol over the "S", and changed the color of her hair, figuring a "Planetary Champion" is going to want to stand out over the rank and file.

This guy took me a lot of work, and I'm not sure if I'm done, but I'm fairly happy with the results and really was itching to share him with ya'll... "Babbage" - I-45ENG Nth Series In the Ficverse I'm slowly piecing together, The War for Robotic Independence (or "Machine Uprising" to the less openminded people) took place several generations ago, led by a Coluan designed Artifical Intelligence named COMPUTO. Since then, "Synthetics" have waged an uphill social fight for individuality and acceptance. One of their younger models, sure that exposure would quicken harmonious relations, took it on himself to apply for the Legion. I thought the lack of development for Babbage was one of the great tragedies of the recent reboot, and really wanted to play around with the idea. Since Babbage is an admitted history buff, he's based his outer cosmetic shell on the ancient Terran Hero Robotman, believed to be on of the first True Synthetics. I based the color scheme off of Silver Age Robotman, played with a few seperate templates for the robotic components and built some of them myself.

I would like to, again, point out how I could never have even done a fourth of all of this without Jorge, and genuinely appreciate him taking several momments away from his life to help out some fat Legion fan with his little hobby. Jorge, you absolutely rule, and thank you so much. "Tellus" - Ganglios Again, based entirely off of one of Jorge's micros. I shortened the tail heavily, made the notches on his dorsal multicolored (the shifting colors of the notches is one of the many ways he communicates in his native habitat), I lowered the amount of definition on his face, and made his smaller lower legs more defined. Ganglios is trying, valiantly, to acclimate himself to the bipedal culture (hence the "t-shirt" quality of his uniform) but is still dumbfounded by the majority of the interaction between the 'air-breathers'. I designed the "broadcast" symbol on a whim and really kinda fell in love with it .

"Echo" - Myke-4 Astor I've always wanted to play with Echo as a concept, and including him was one of the first things I did with this project. I made him thinner than most (The Khunds experimented on him and probably didn't feed him all too well) and gave his mask a less "human" feeling than other iterations. I kept the core of his classic look (especially his color scheme, which I always liked) and just "rebooted" it, so to speak.

"Evanesce" - Jacques Foccart To solve the problem of two I-Kids on the same Legion, without having to choose between two great charactes, I just changed Jacques' power and background a little. Now, Jacques is a peer of Lyle's who, during an accident, is dosed in the serum that imbued Lyle with his power. Reacting with his different physiology, the serum granted Jacques the ability to turn into an inert, mobile mist, and back again. The idea for the mist power came from the 5YL Jacques' suggested codename for himself ('Evanesce'), and the colors for this suit come from the uniform he sparringly wore in the same era. Jacques is a very subtle person, so his suits' colors should be subdued and the inclusion of a chest emblem would be too austentacious for his liking.

Welp, here's my 'Legion' so far... I've made a few redesigns and decided to post them as a group. Special thanks go out to Triplicate Kid, Caliente, SupesJR, WWWWtR Lad, and Set for both their Kind words and criticisms. They were equally motivating. Super-Ultra-Mega THanks go out to Ultra Jorge, our resident Micro genius, for his contributions: from kind words to templates to design ideas. Couldn't have done it without him. I am by no means done. Still have the Subs, The Cadets, the Support Staff... Oh yes, and writing the Fic, of course Thanks again, everyone!

I don't care if that name is semi-canonical. I can't think of anything but a band.
Shady is totally different. Then again, I hate all her official costumes, so this has to be better.

Thanks for the props man! I do these for the same reason you do and many others. For fun! I'm not an artist nor do I want to be one. For me these are action figures I can customize! There are great artists on these boards but I'm not one of them. I just like seeing things I visualize. Making toys for myself.
You have a great imagination! Great codenames and costumes! Like I said I've seen thousands of micros and costumes...yours rock!
Jorge (p.s. Like the short sleeves on Kent aka Meta!)

The Legion I'm trying to portray is a massive undertaking in their universe and, if the Threeboot has taught us anything recently, it's that running the Legion comes with a lot of Beauracracy. With that in mind, I present the Legion Staff: For Marla Latham, at top, I wanted something simple, but that would stand out in a futuristic enviornment. I envision Marla as being far more pragmatic and cynical than R.J. Brande, but no less in love with the past, so he wears a classically cut business suit. To handle all the comm traffic, incoming transmissions, necessary acquisitions, and the like, are the Legion Administrative Members: Ethel Lynn Niwtyn, Dyvud and Frenk Retzun, and Khfeurb Chee Bez. To handle Public Appearances, Media Saturation, and Goodwill Missions is Theena. She works with a score of Athramites as her assistants, who also work as uniform designers and the like. I.Z.O.R., a Liserann known as "Gear" to his friends, runs a team of automatons to keep all buildings and equipment the Legion requires in as effiecent a state as possible. Doctor Gym'll is the Dedicated Medical Physician for the Legion, and he uses several non-sentient synthetic Probes as nurses and such. The Probes also work other miscellaneous jobs.

Like I had said before, The Legion Academy will be absolutley massive and include lesser known legionnaires, some old associates, some Legionnaire siblings, even some old enemies. It will also include some reinvisioned characters and characters of my own design. Here's a small sample while I work on the Subs. From Left to Right: Roon Dvron - "Inspector" Roon in this universe is a SP Academy washout with a slight drinking problem and the ability to perceive certain amounts of object memory by touching said object. Rebus Trainor - "Perhaps Lad" Rebus is a former Astral Projector that now only exists when there are enough people around who are aware that he exists. Styx Evillo - "Satan Girl" Styx is the daughter of King Evillo, from the magical extradimensonal Planet Tartarus, which bears a striking resemblance to the Christian version of Hell. Styx shamed her lineage by being less than zealous in her desire to maim and hurt, and took refuge with the Legion. Twyler Thanat - "Living-Dead Lad" Twyler was the victim of a nanite weapon that was programmed to destroy all organic life they came in contact with. At the time though, Twyler was already a corpse in a morgue. The nanites attempted to ressurect Twyler so that they could destroy him, so as to fulfill their orders. However, once they brought him back, destroying him would counteract actions already taken by them. Caught in this logic loop, the nanites refuse to let Twyler be destroyed and keep him from dying, much to his dismay. Purcell Bruno - "Kid Caveman" Subjected to horrific experiments by the criminal gentecist Mantis Morlo, Purcell was grafted with several tissue samples taken from the Lallorian meta Sev Tchuru. Purcell now lives as an anachronism: a powerful prehistorical form housing a 8th-Level Intellect. Mi Bel - "Cherry Bomb" A former Rimborian youth ganger and blossoming criminal, Mi decided that it would be safer to play on the right side of the law, opting to become a Legion Cadet with her ability to generate an explosive field that produces blinding light and immense sound. Grikker Pointeee - "Goblins Lad" Grik is a member of the Grnsken race, a choatic race who treasure racial conformity over all else. When Grikker developed the ability to generate replicants of himself out of ambient matter and telepathically imbue them with portions of his intelligence, he was cast out. He now exists as a Legion Cadet. His power allows him to create several much more powerful copies of himself, however he has to split the intelligence he posses over the number of copies equally. Tell me what you guys think, and be on the lookout for more cadets and the Subs (who are taking forever, but turning out great!).

i really like the academy group so far. they've all got a interesting "hitch" about them that could keep them from being a part of the legion, but could also be a major character trait for them as well.
Also, the ideas are very cool! Perhaps Lad is wild! And I like the goblins idea, magic in the 30th century really hasn't been stretched like it should be in a while. I'm looking forward to more stuff! When do we get to read this fanfic?
And when can i get picky in who i want to see? Catspaw? Computo (as opposed to C.O.M.P.U.T.O.)? Monstress (she seems like she could fit in the Academy by the looks of the group right now)? The Wanderers? Fatal Five?
ok, enough with the demands, i've really enjoyed coming back to this thread to see your updates! keep it up

Wow... Doesn't seem like a self-centered reboot at all. Nice twists on appearances and stuff. I see lots of potential in epicality. Looking forward to a first chapter, if there's one coming anytime soon?

Cramer, Cobalt, and Penalty: Thanks a lot for the kind words! Great to see more Worlders throwing in their two cents. I genuinely appreciate it. Jorge: Again man, I can only do as much as those who helped me. Thanks again! WWWWtRL: Always thankful for your posts. The fic is coming, but at a snail's pace. The first arc should be up my mid to late September. As for your requests... From Left to Right: Dumaka - "Catspaw" A member of a sentient feline race, Dumaka solely possesses the ability to shift between her fully feline form and a her more humanoid appearance (pictured). Now that her race has joined the U.P. she was sent to represent them in the Legion Academy. Alnan Schivv - "Prodigal Lad" A result of illegal pre-natal genetic tampering, Alnan now has a 9th-Level intellect and nearly all the best traits and genetic abilities a human can have, such as photographic memory, double-jointedness, perfect pitch, etc. Candi Pyponte-Le Parc - "Monstress" Candi is relatively unchanged. A native of Xanthu, her mogul father was attacked by a disgruntled employee wielding a genebomb and Candi reaped the consequences. She seeks to continue the proud traditions of Xanthuian heroes in the Legion. Qzybxyah - "5th Girl" The granddaughter of Mxyzptlk and the first crossbreed of 5th and 3rd Dimensional creatures, Qzy lived with her mother in the 5th Dimension when she heard of Superboy, Supergirl, and the Legion. When she learned of her rich family history, she decided to join the premiere heroes of the 3rd Dimension of the 31st Century, and try and add a little chaos to their lives. Kinth Broakrr - "Organ" A native of the untamed planet of Simballi, Kinth was attacked by one of the odder creatures to inhabit the planet: the Simbal Sybi-Adapter. A non-sentient ameboid, the Adapter survives by, during the youngest stage of its life, attaches itself to a host and imbues it fantastic abilities so as to serve as a safer host for the creature. Now with a body composed of 90 percent alien mass that he's capable of manipulating, Kinth tried out for and was accepted into the Academy. Mara Wetallon - "Rush" Mara was the victim of Dominator genetherapy in an attempt to recreate the powers of Jenni Ognats. They were not entirely successful before the Legion raided their headquarters; Mara is capable of reacting at superspeeds. Her agility and reflexes are actually higher than Jenni's. However, she isn't capable of sustained bursts of superspeed like Xs. Berta Harris - "Nightwind" Like all the female members of her family, Berta has the ability to manipulate the winds around her, though she has a much higher degree of control over her powers then any other woman in her family.

i really enjoy the Academy so far, the powers and back-stories are really interesting stuff.
Organ kind of confuses me though... He and an alien have a symbiotic relationship right? and if the alien has given him superpowers to protect itself, what are his powers exactly? it's a really cool idea, great science fiction and alien superhero aspects.
