This is my re-thinking of the ages of comics:

Golden Age (1935-1955)
Silver Age (1956-1968)
Dark Age (1969-1983)
Gilded Age (1984-1996)
Tinfoil Age (1997-2009)
Darker Age (2010-2020?)

Would not be surprised if that made it into the series...

If and when people tire of super heroes and the Big 2 are so reduced by their owners, the whole thing since 1935 might be considered the golden age of comics. Obviously, there would still be plenty of quality indies out there, being ignored.

Comics will never die, but I think they might have evolved to a point where the 32-page floppy will be phased out in favor of entirely-original graphic novels. So, in that sense, the golden age of graphic novels started only a few years ago -- I mean, graphic novels now regularly top the literary best-seller charts -- inconceivable as little as a decade ago.

I picked up a number of TPBs in comixology sales of late. Not as big a stack to read as Paladins, of course, but plenty to look forward to.

The weather this evening was unusually cool for where I live this time of year. A perfect night for reading.

A Touch of Frost was a long running detective series, starring David Jason. Jason is was already very popular known for Open All Hours and Only Fools and Horses. He also did at least some of the voices for the super cool Dangermouse.

Emma Frost was overexposed during the 2000s.

Does no-one ever think to just offer some of these characters a jumper? It must be freezing for them. There's a Time Bubble story where someone jumps into the future to visit the pneumonia ward all these characters are spending their last days in.

If only she were in diamond form all the time.

As for Legionnaires... it's the transuits. (thinks of Cosmic Boy's bustier, Gravity Kid and Power Boy, Shadow Lass, Saturn Girl's bikini...)

Lyle Norg realised that his invisibility serum had one drawback. But as Naturist Lad, he had a distinguished career as a Legionnaire, even without clothing.

Transuits kept him from freezing or burning up, so it was all good.

Is Lyle really Naturist Boy, if he's wearing a transuit? Read "My Spacesuit, My Secret!" in Tales of the Lost Legion #24!
