Some might be interested to know, as I recently learned, that our own Barry Kitson produced two album covers for neo-progressive, new age, folk rock band Solstice back in the early 2010s!

They look like classic Kitson, especially the first one, but I wouldn't have made the association with Barry if I'd just seen the covers, just out of context.

Thanks for posting them, EDE.

Since I thought of the Justice League character Solstice, I might be reading too many comics. Then I remembered, that I only really know the character from Spaceopoly. Since you can't have too much Legion World, everything is fine again.

Sorry? Quit yapping and talk about the covers?

They are really nice. It must be pretty cool for a band to get a grade A comics artist to do your album covers. What other comic artists have done album covers I wonder...

That's an interesting question. I know a lot of sci fi illustrators have also done album covers, but I'm not really familiar with other examples of comic artists working on them, though it seems like it ought to be more of a thing.

Comic book artists who created album covers.

No pictures, though. frown

Edit: Here's one with the actual covers.

Wow! I had no idea that Dave Gibbons did the "Too Old to Rock and Roll" comic strip.

Lots of interesting examples there.
