I think everyone can agree that only an uneducated, borderline-illiterate moron would dispute that Lois Lane is anything but comics' #1 feminist heroine. Through various covers, let's examine some fine examples of this!

On this cover, Lois has taken possession of an artifact that has granted her powers! Powers that might even but probably won't rival those of Superman! You'll notice how Lois isn't even concerned about her sagging pantyhose and thrift shop reject clothes because feminism!

And in a daring display of fearlessness and pro-feminism, the editor plays up an unheard of Lois-as-witch image sure to entice young lads to embrace the feminine mystique!

And it's nice how one can just tell Supes is very happy for his friend and her newfound abilities.

"GASP! How dare they stick feminist heroine Lois Lane in a mother role!!" you scream, with a fleck of drool dangling from your lip making you look quite insane. Don't be an uneducated, borderline-illiterate moron. CLEARLY it requires a woman of incredible strength to adopt a SUPER-baby, so this cover is actually one of the highest compliments her writers ever gave Lois Lane.

Feminist heroines don't need no man, as this cover clearly indicates. Nor are they required to give a rat's ass about your feelings, so all young male readers of the day please make a note of it!

Comics' #1 feminist heroine knows her body is a temple, and that body must remain slim and shapely to be healthy! As an idol to millions, of course she would be mortified for anyone to see her as less than perfect. So the editor very kindly made sure on this cover that she was unaware that her worst fear was being realized as Superman Pete Ross' her. No doubt her condition was brought on by some sort of evil super-fatassing ray used by an enemy of Superman!

No, Lois isn't an uneducated borderline-illiterate moron. She simply knows NO room is forbidden to a feminist heroine. So suck on THAT, Superman.

Yes, an episode of Bewitched was clearly inspired by this issue! An early case of multi-media cross-platform synergy! Brought to you by DC Doorknobs!

So you don't think chicks can be just as hardcore a criminal as dudes? What are you, some kind of uneducated, borderline-illiterate moron?

Super female intuition. All feminist heroines possess this eerie ability to just KNOW what is happening, especially when what is happening is some loose tart is stepping on your territory.

When or if a non-lesbian feminist heroine does fall in love with a man, don't expect her to fall in love with one whom society deems as "proper" or "attractive"!

Superman was just too shy to confess his feelings. Must have been all that hanging around Batman.

Dammit Superman! You're so busy forcing Jimmy to marry a gorilla or tricking people into becoming bald and fat that you allowed feminist Lois to get the upper hand!
That's the story of my life as well. frown
Sassy cuffs!

Don't try to lay your sexual hangups on a feminist heroine! A feminist heroine is likely to line up a gang of uneducated, borderline-illiterate morons to have her way with if you do! That'll show YOU.

What are the chances Green Arrow tries to cop a feel?

The only thing more likely is that Wonder Woman was in line right before him.
She's already defeated Green Lantern, obviously!

Whew! Thankfully Lois didn't push her bust (ooh-er) revealing the false picture wall into the Super-Boudoir of kinkiness. Your loss Supes!

Feminist heroines like Lois Lane and Angel O'Day don't need to hog the cover, they know fragile male egos require that kind of showboating.

Besides, they also know they are destined to be the last 2 standing in this terrific 70s issue.

Feminist heroines will always help other women reach their goals, particularly when those other women are absolutely no threat in the looks department!

Are you sure that's not Jimmy in disguise? (Hence "Mary")

Superman: Whew! It's only Jaxon Rugarth, and that's actually a experimental time cube he's being put into.

Next month, Lois joins Radiohead to pout about her loss.
