Yeah... Most of us grumble to a moderator or just go have a drink if we get into a disagreement or get some bad reviews. These jaggoffs did this. shake

Vindictiveness, unable to take criticism and delusions that they had power making them untouchable. I've read whistleblower reports that follow similar patterns.

Terrifying sometimes to think that some people like that hold such high positions of power

There are toxic people at the top of many companies. If anything, being in that position just allows them to let their real selves out more.

While horrible that some people think this is acceptable behaviour, this is a good news story in that they were caught and convicted, and that it shows that not only does most of our society frown severely on such activities but the systems we have in place can successfully intervene and correct it, not in every case obviously but this shows that it does work at times.

A podcast I was listening to the other day, made the same point regarding Nixon.

One of the assistants at my office is named Richard. The full name. No nicknames.

My man used to work with a Richard. The full name, but he often acted like the nickname.

The one we have at our office seems all right. I mean, you basically need the patience of three saints to work in that department, so....

They come and go, so I'm pretty indifferent, while keeping my positive work face on.

I sit with my back to everyone, so I can scowl and growl at the endless spreadsheets all I want. TimberWolfa

This is a task which became mine indefinitely, because the neighboring department just can't hold on to new employees long enough to train them on it. Every time they lure in someone new, they lose the person who had just come in before them. I don't really mind, apart from the fact that no one's made it one of my forever jobs officially. Probably for the same reason they never officially acknowledged how long I've been working there: they don't want to pay me any more than they did three years ago. shake

Sigh, companies with these practices are just… I mean, is it really so bad to give credit / count as tenure the period someone worked as a temp or as a contractor?

Right? Especially since they know that price hikes on goods and services are out of control. If you don't get a raise, you've gotten a pay *cut*. You are *losing* money every day. They know that and they don't care.

My lot made sure to mention they gave us some cost of living pennies in August, as moved into the end of year ratings (submitted at end of October). Just so we had no illusions about keeping up with inflation.

Take a moment to think about the department they have to count the tears and souls. You're in the canteen, and get chatting. Kev is from Compliance, Suzie from IT and Neron is from Souls and Tears.

Souls and Tears is also a Tears for Fears Tribute Act, popular in Evillo's domain.

He talks big, but you can just bribe him with pie. He's rather old-fashioned, and is especially fond of the Pineapple Cream Pie, which I believe they only serve every third Wednesday of the month.
