The wing joint we just got back from patronizing this evening actually has fried pickles on their menu. We've been going there for two years and I've yet to work up the nerve to try one...

After failing to find a store which sells them, I made Lebanese-style pickled turnips last summer. Delicious!
But not as cute as Cobie's dog.

Dog on a stick is considered a delacacy in many parts of the world.
I've never seen it served with pickles, however.

The first day wasn't easy, with a little jealousy and just a non-stop curiosity that lasted *all* night long. But that has gradually gone away so by now they are quickly shaping up to be best friends. Pickles is very affectionate (a bit too much for a 3-4 week old). Here: Daddy, Cobie Jr. and Pickles are exhausted after the first few days and drift to sleep all at the same time.
