Erm, I've never written Legion stuff... I only just started reading the fandom (it just happened to rock, which is why I found this place).

Can I post not-Legion stuff? Or not-DCU? (I'm still a clueless newb, I know.)

But, you're really nice to say that Pov! Seriously. (Damn, I use that word a lot. And parenthesis.)

I've already admitted I read the series entirely for Dani. If/when she goes, there goes my interest.

Non-Legion stories are allowed in Bits. If you've got Dani fanfic, I'd love to read it.(and I use parenthesis a lot, too)

I have to admit that a change in writers has me somewhat interested in New X-Men. I realize there was editorial interference, but that book didn't do it for me. The art, which I didn't like in the few issues I read, also didn't help. I also liked the X-23 mini and NYX, so adding X-23 to the cast is not a problem for me.

And MAGMA's back!!!! And here to stay-- not that that means much with writers changing and X-memberships up for grabs after HOUSE OF M... still I'm hopeful that Amara will get used here or somewhere for some time.

I don't much like this art-- but Magma looked really good in her scenes against the Blob... maybe too much like a female Human Torch... but impressive, nonetheless. I think she probably should've been more effective against Blob.

I liked seeing Madrox and Rahne-- when does their series hit the stands? Dani or Shan would've been good additions to a mutant private-eye agency.

The team-up of the squads was a nice touch- though bittersweet, since it's HOUSE OF M-- then the new creators, I believe. Sigh.

Not a bad issue, except for the art, but Dani still doesn't get to do much more than stand around. I shouldn't complain. She's doing better than Violet.

I want to be optimistic but they spend most of the interview talking about X-23. At least the art previews seem pretty good. I wish they were a bit bigger so I could examine them better though.

Otherwise, Nori's good, Dust is unchanged, Rockslide & Mercury are basically the same in new & horrid colours and Julian's is adequate.

I really liked this, i think it's one of the best books Wier and Defillips have written. All the characters are believable, but twisted.

Dani having a glowing eye makes me nervous though. I'm also a little disapointed that Magik has no history with the original New Mutants.

At least Magik's alive (although she seems to be kinda without ...magic).

Yeah, the glowy eye is freaky. And if Magik was never 'napped by Belesco then she wouldn't've aged prematurely and would be more of the Gen X/NXM age, as seen here.

Personally, I was thrilled to see Ev alive, JP and Aurora not... well, more themselves and Rahne not... grossly involved with Josh. Ew.

One question: Since when is Jubilee CEREBRAL?? I mean, she's with the New Mutants or whatever... like... yeah. Weird.

I wonder if that means Skin's living... or Jesse Bedlam... or Doug Ramsey... or John Proudstar...

The use of the phrase "slash & burn" isn't filling me with hope. Neither is the fact one of them has a $50 bet that it'll be in the top 15 by their 8th issue.

Last i heard of Doug, he had a crush on Kitty, and had been with the New Mutants. What's his story? Is he a mutant, a friend of mutants (like Moira McTaggart - where's she now? With Sean, still?).

This also doesn't sound too promising. Coupled with the cover, I'm not sure many of the New Mutants will survive House of M and remain in the book. Looks like the Hellions might do better, but note who is front and center.

Still no word on Dani's fate.

As much as I like Dani, this deal with her behaving (and somewhat resembling) Cable is NOT something I'm happy with. Actually, if I remeber right, she and Cable weren't exactly best of friends. (Understatement here.)
