AAAAAAGH! I wish I hadn't read this now, we're only up to episode 5 (of 25) here in dear old Blighty. Keith is in Cyprus right now and told us he saw episone 20 last week. Why are we always the last to see anything over here?
Lash, was that song in something like 'Beautiful Things'? I saw a play of it about ten years ago and it opened and shut to that song. Mama Cass rawks!
Legion Worlds NINE - wait, there's even more ongoing amazing adventures? Yup, and you'll only find them in the Bits o' Legionnaire Business Forum.

I had never seen "Lost" before, but was home alone Wed night and thought I would check it out. This show definitely has atmosphere. I can see why people like it.
Finding the underground geodesic dome with 60's computers and Mama Cass was super groovy. However, it seems a total rip-off of the final episode of "The Prisoner," for my money the most bizarre hour of television ever.
...but you don't have a moment where you're sitting there staring at a table full of twenty-five characters with little name signs that say, "Hi, my superpower is confusing you!"

the promo for next week stated that "the fate of all the survivors will be revealed!". At first took this to be hyperbole, but I suppose emphasis should be on the word "all" -- as in we haven't seen "all the survivors" yet.

The promo was interestingly ambiguous between finding out the fate of those on the raft and finding about possible survivors in the tail section.
Here's the description of next week's episode:
"Adrift" With the abduction of Walt fresh on their minds and their raft destroyed, Michael, Sawyer and Jin fight for their lives and discover a new predator in the roiling ocean. Meanwhile on land, Locke must descend into the hatch when one castaway goes missing inside.

I don't think they're reairing it in Canada. CTV seems to have more shows than timeslots at the moment.

I just watched the premiere last night, and loved it! How I've missed my Lost heebie jeebies (Kate descending into the hatch, dropping the flashlight, Jack's agonizingly slow progress through the tunnel, where the hell did that guy come from?).
So let's think about what the creepy tunnel guy might mean. I've been going over it and over it, and it just HAS to mean that there is a plot/plan to bring these people in particular to the island. The fact that a guy locked in a quarantine hatch on a semideserted island in the middle of nowhere made contact with Jack however many years previous to the crash makes it almost certain. Is there any other conceivable explanation that doesn't involve far out clone conspiracies?
The only consistent feature of all of your dissatisfying relationships is you.
Don't judge me!

Just heard a commercial on the radio with Desmond ranting about how many on the island ("in your group") have gotten sick and died.
I cannot wait till 9.
I just got into the show last week, and am totally hooked!
Active LMB character is still Beast Boy.

Another great episode. When I watched Season One on DVD, knowing that I was going to get some answers, I noticed that there really are some great character bits in the flashbacks...you just don't catch them the first time sometimes b/c your so impatient to get answers. I feel like this Michael episode will be like that upon a reviewing. Great ending, with a twist apparently from next week's preview (at first I thought they were just the other survivors of the plane). Very intense with the Shark (*gulp* my one true fear!). And the mystery of Desmond (never trust a guy named Desmond with a gun--trust ) and whether its safe to believe in Locke continues.

While I was watching last night's episode, I was thinking, "That's it. The show's already turned into a self-parody. I'm not watching anymore." Then came the ending, with Sawyer and Mike washing up right back where they started, only to find...
S P O I L E R S P A C E S P O I L E R S P A C E
...Jin badly wounded and The Others attacking them. Good stuff. And the promo for next week's episode looks like it's gonna get even better from there. I'll still be watching after all.

I got to watch this morning, and man did this episode get to me. It's good to see Michael getting some more background, he got cheated last year. And pairing him with Sawyer of all people really brings out the strengths of both men.
S P O I L E R
They spend most of the show floating on raft debris and arguing. We get flashbacks to when he had to give up Walt to provide a better life for the boy. Here we see the intensity of Michael's character and what makes him a survivor. Before saying goodbye to Walt as his mother is about to take him out of the country, Michael gives him a teddybear. A white one.
Back on land, we see Locke enter the hatch, come across Kate, and get caught at gun point by the guy in the hatch. Hatch-man mistakes Locke for someone at first but quickly realizes the error. Kate is ordered to tie Locke up, but he informs Hatch-man she's a fugitive and ties her up instead, slipping her a knife, and shoving her in a closet.
Sawyer survived the explosion and getting shot, taking the hit in his shoulder. The two scrambling on wreckage, but Jin is nowhere to be seen. With Sawyer's blood in the water, a shark comes hunting. They survive after Michael shoots the shark, but not before we see it has been branded.
Kate manages to free herself with some great wiggling (man, between her and Steph on Survivor, I could become str8) and explores the closet. She's in a food storage room. There's crates and jars of foodstuffs, all with the same brand on them. After swiping some candybars, she crawls up into a ventilation shaft. She crawls around and witnesses Jack's confrontation with Hatch-man.
The episode ends much as Stealth described it. We see that Jin has been captured, tho' not how. He's fleeing the Others when he runs into the dynamic duo.
The branded foodstuffs and shark, Michael giving Walt the teddybear, Locke's brief chat with the Hatch-man, more great teasers and forward developement. Last year, most of the shows were backstory; here more seems focused on the present. One of the writers stated recently that episode 3 would have lots of hatchy goodness. And more survivors!
Just spouting off.

i cant believe the others are from the tale section. The french woman went on and on on about how you eiter stay and fight, die or hide, and by the sounds of it the others have been on the island for a while. So i cant see the tail section being the others because its only been 44 days.

I feel a lot better after this week's episode. I'm particularly curious as to the connection between the shark and the hatch.
Here's the solicitation for next week:
"Orientation" Jack, Locke and Kate learn more secrets about the hatch. Meanwhile, after being beaten and taken captive, Sawyer, Michael and Jin wonder if their captors are fellow survivors or the dreaded "Others."

I liked seeing the other side of things in this eposide. It was interesting to see what else was going on. I am sure next show we will see Jin get captured and what happened to him.
And we get to see Girlfight next week!
