Make-overs and swimsuits! Something else else of a metro man's dream show! The elimination was kind of a shock.

So, anyone watching?

Surprising? Really? There are a few strong ones and the others need to step it up.

Mister Jay was right, the girl that got eliminated is the perfect football player trophy wife.

Well, they kept showing interview clips of the second to last place girl, so I thought she'd be the one to go. Red herring!

Isis is out. She was so busy trying to cover up her privates, that her publics weren't looking right.

The other girl who got eliminated really deserved to go for that terrible walk. Go to school or something!

i really liked isis, i thought she should have won, she literally, was a model that tyra had already selected. she LOOKS like a model. i wonder how it would have gone if isis kept it on the downlow until towards the end?

i think she'll do well without the show. i would have hated to have been subjected to a season of her being abused by other contestants. i thought the other girl that got kicked off was SO PRETTY! not scary-model pretty but like... i don't know, more like swim suit model i think? hahah she reminds me of spanish soap opera stars? *not that she's latina, just that she's that kind of pretty*

now i'm sort of watching in a dull horror.

I really like the blonde with those pale blue eyes. I hope she does well. Otherwise, it's too early for me to have a particular favorite.

Guilty pleasure!

It was a weird but kinda cool photo shoot this week. Mod girls as L.A. natural disasters. Okay....

It's weird to me that the girl who was eliminated this week was last week's strongest contestant. That sorta happens a lot though. It shows that they're inconsistent. The winners seem to be the ones who build and improve throughout the competition, without ever dipping to unacceptable levels.

I think this show needs some kind of new twist. It's pretty much the same thing for 11 cycles. I don't know what the twist should be, though.

Heh! I forgot to post last week!

The pretty blonde with the beautiful pale blue eyes got cut. The problem was that she didn't know how to cut loose and just model. The awkward French girl was the best this week.

I like Ilena, the one who can't seem to give up control. She has mother issues and is from Seattle!

I haven't watched this show since the judges eliminated the girl with Ausburgers(sp) Syndrome a couple of seasons ago.

Banks spent the whole season with a focus on changing the modeling world and just the world in general ~ against smoking, for the green, health models, etc..
Then, she has a chance to actually open the modeling business to people with challenges and she skimps out!
It would have been different if the girl had had other issues, like ugly or something, but she didn't.

Her disability made it impossible for her to organize the go-see challenge in China without a little help.
That was such a predictable failure that I couldn't believe they dropped her.

All an agency would have to do is hire an assistant for her to make her a world class money maker for them.
She, Heather I think, had won SO many of the different challenges throughout that season.

The 3 left were so not top models, either in attitude or looks or ability.
Heather was a natural!

Deep breath!
Let it go, Candace.

Hah! Candle, if you look back on this thread, you'll see that Heather had many fans posting on her behalf. I thought she was great.

I applaud the show's efforts to present something different than typical models, and I don't think that those different types need to win. Getting air time for their cause is great. Last season, they had their first plus size winner and this season, they had a transgendered model in the competition.

Aw, the eliminated girl was a total sweetheart. However, she was rather running out of steam, and was really sick at her last challenge.

It's kind of a whiney bunch this season. I still haven't connected with a favorite.

Sheena, the hip hop Asian girl was cut! She was continually criticized for being too hoochie and sexy when she needed to be more high fashion.

The other models are really quite good. This is a tough competition.

I read an article at a website that accused this show of jumping the shark this season with all the wacky sci-fi stuff at the beginning. Although that wasn't a problem for me, I do find the routine to be a bit monotonous.

It might be kind of cool to have a celebrity top model competition. I also would not mind if there was less reality behind the scenes stuff and more challenge/photo shoot/runway show stuff.

The Seattle girl got cut. She gave the same really beautiful and intense face in every photo! She's the one with control issues. Later!

It's down to the final 4. I'm backing M'kee. She looks like a Nagel poster come to life!

Awkward, nervous and kewl looking French Marjorie was cut. Again, I'm backing M'key. She's cool looking. I'm not so sure if she has much personality, but she isn't annoying or awful.

Well, we're on ANTM, cycle 14.

How can they still get girls who cry over getting their hair cut?

They always get a super-b or two, also.
This year they get one that they rejected a year or two ago because she was SUCH a super-b.
SIGH
THIS time, she went to counseling and she just hid it better in the beginning in front of Jay.
AND now she's multiplied and she has a co-b.
They say that 'the 'chocolate' girls need to stick together'.

How can they be that angry at people on the very first evening in New York City?

Is it the age group or the type of person drawn to the modeling business or what?

We've got 2 girls who got pregnant during their first sexual experience.
That's silly but it certainly happens.
I just don't know why it's the first thing that they want people to know about them!

And, they sent away the funny little singer.
Thank goodness.

I like Nuada (I hope that's the right name.)
She's bald, but I like her spirit, even though her life's story was shown on 'Law and Order'.
That old 'Law and Order', ripping stories from the headlines!

I liked the girl from Pakistan, too, but she's gone already.

This promises to be a very long season.

LOTS of mean-spiritedness on this first episode.

Yes.

Remember those two who wouldn't have anything to do with the others because the others were too boisterous or something?

The one with the tatoos is gone and the other one was so generic in her looks and story for me to recognize her.
See?
Now I'M feeling like the mean-spirited person.

I watched most of the show on Wed, but it was on at the same time as Idol, so I missed a bunch of it. I hope that doesn't happen too often this season!

I saw it tonight, on Friday, but I don't know what I'll do in April and May.

Anyway, I got a few beautiful photos for some future project this week.

My favorite, personality and pretty wise, is Raina.
She looks a little like Brooke Shields, only maybe a little more beautiful.

I felt sorry of Nuduah.
I don't know what she was thinking darkening her eyebrow makeup when Tyra specifically had her brows lightened.
sigh

I like the new judge, Andre, but he seems to have a lot of power over who goes and who stays.
And why is Miss J. missing from the panel?!

Alasia is SO annoying, yes, but Ren-- stop trying to be Elyse from season 1. There can be only one Elyse, and you, Ma'am, are no Elyse.

It's still too early for me to have a favorite, but I sure know who I *don't* like, heh!

And the chick who busted her ass TWICE in the pendulum walk, the first time on the stairway-- QUITE AMUSING.

Some of these women are so nasty.
It gives models a bad name, imo.

The judging didn't make much sense to me, I'm afraid.
I'm glad Ren got to leave, though, I'd hate living with those people, too.
