I swear to almighty Salamander Puppy God I've been dreading the release of DC Presents #17. The fact that Joe Keatinge and RICKEN are wasting their talent on this version of Roy Harper has made me want to sob uncontrollably.

I split like a sober, pimpled dad on an episode of Teen Mom.

Hmmmmmm.
So no Fab Five, no Lian, Joker's Daughter is a mess, Lilith Clay is a mess, Cassandra Sandsmark is still annoying and inconsistent, and Solstice is white.
Nope, not buying it anytime soon.

I worry with all the Teen Titans reboots, we won;t get to see the issue where it's revealed that Bunker is the ancestor of Fortress Lad.

[Heard in the DC offices]
Keep throwing things at the wall!
Eventually something will stick!
.
On the upside, season one of Young Justice is up on Netflix, so I can have good Teen Titan-y AU (pre new 52!) goodness whenever I want. And eat ice cream at the same time without getting the pages sticky. So it's a win-win.

I'm not going to try the relaunch, but I am going to get the Teen Titans: Earth One OGN...which happens to have its own thread in this very forum -- hint, hint.

Thanks, Sarky. I agree with everything she said.
What's really sad, in my opinion, is that DC wasn't always this clueless. Jenette Kahn may have made some bad calls, but overall her tenure at DC (1976-2002) keeps looking better and better in retrospect.

Comparing Didio to Kahn is like comparing the Girls Gone Wild guy to Steve Jobs.

LOL True, Cobie, but Kahn did nix Supergirl as Sensor Girl. Nobody's perfect.

Hey guys, I just noticed Wonder Girl's hand armor looks like Roy's god awful gold prosthetic.

LOL True, Cobie, but Kahn did nix Supergirl as Sensor Girl. Nobody's perfect. Sensor Girl was a shared identity alternately used by Projectra (who technically couldn't be a Legionnaire after snapping Nemesis Kid's chicken-neck), Saturn Girl (who was technically retired) and Supergirl (who was technically dead, and had to continue hiding her true identity to not cause some temporal something or other that's very complicated and had to do with a plot against the Time Trapper, who would never see Kara Zor-El coming!). That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!

Yay! My fan thoughts mostly mirror Set's on that one. Sorry Set

Two new Titans books coming up:
Titans, written by Dan Abnett (bleah) and drawn by Brett Booth.
Teen Titans, written by Ben Percy and drawn by Jonboy Meyers.
I will not be checking either one of them out.

I've been enjoying Abnett's Wild's End. Better still, it's the characterisation that I like best, and not the subject matter, which would have got me to look anyway. If they're renumbering things again, I'll be waiting until issue 52 to take a look. Since DC are so obsessed with the figure, I'll play along

I'm definitely going to try Titans. I just miss that crew a lot - and the Titans Hunt book wasn't half bad overall. I particularly liked Lillith and Gnaark, so I'm looking forward to seeing how this all comes together (and yes, I will be kicking myself in a year if it doesn't - wouldn't be the first time on the Titans).
The Teen Titans? I probably won't pick up. I find the really young teams uninteresting now. (so yes, if they make the new Legion book age-appropriate to the new Superboy, I will have a hard time with that too)
