I thought that Vixen had some good stories in the Justice League. More so than her time in the Squad. Kudos to Ostrander (and Yale?) for being able to rescue Barbara Gordon from her Killing Joke fate.
I totally forgot that Babs made her transition to Oracle in Suicide Squad! I mean, I knew she was there but I had forgotten that this was a big reveal.

Considering the influence that the grim and gritty books had at the time, they deserve lots of credit for finding another path for Babs and convincing those above to let them do it.

Interesting to see the split votes over Vertigo. While Deadshot was certainly the most popular character through the first half of the series, Vertigo was definitely the breakout star of the last few dozen issues (it was fitting to have the two of them close it out staring each other down).

Capt. Richard Montgomery Flag - The guy from the WWII Dinosaur island days.
Richard Rogers Flag (Anthony Miller) - The guy from the Brave and the Bold who later went on to lead the 80's Squad, retconned afterwards to have actually been Anthony Miller.

Katana - Probably about right for her to leave here, as she didn't stay around much in the Ostrander run. A very good choice for involvement though. Black Orchid - Extremely powerful, and possibly a good thing that she didn't stay to become a deus ex machina character. I wonder what Ostrander was going to do with her, before she got moved elsewhere? Ravan - A very modern villain for a different kind of conflict, his arc with Kobra took him down a different path from a perhaps more controversial look at the two sides in today's world. Poison Ivy - Old schjoll scheming villainy. Oddly enough, I didn't miss her much when she had gone. Thinker (Cliff Carmichael) - A great sociopath for the squad who added some real threat to his own colleagues as much as to those they faced. Jewelee 18 - Again, about right. Some psychopathic silliness added a different tone, probably in a more subtler way than Harley Quinn would later add.

I've always thought of the squad as a thriller containing superheroes. Any of the characters *could* die. Harley Quinn seems to run around with a mallet in the middle of gun battles, with immortality from the Plott Gods. It just breaks my interest in the book.
