Hey, we all make mistakes. But have you invented time travel lately? How about a battery bed to revive Lightning Lad? Not to mention treating all sorts of mysterious ailments ... endlessly rescuing team mates and even entire planets ... getting the best exclamations (Sizzling satellites! Great paradigms of Colu!) ... having gorgeous, brilliant, invulnerable blondes fall in love with you ...

You mean, 'a battery bed to distract people while Proty makes his move'?
But seriously, like the other Cos apologists appearing in this thread, I have always been a big fan of Brainy also. Who isn't? But it is weird re-reading the old Levitz stuff, and remembering how much friendlier he used to be, pre-boot.

Even if this baseless accusation were true, he was simply trying to fix up two good friends. You can't deny they were mostly happy for all those years.

But Nura must already know that Brainy will make a loving and adorable little husband when he finally gives in to her. The meanness is just a mask, and Nura can obviously see beyond it, or she wouldn't be pursuing him.

Think about it: if Brainy hadn't come up with a way to beat the Fatal 500, the post-ZH Legion wouldn't have been swept into the timestream and we wouldn't be having the Threeboot right now.
