i can't understand why i can follow the stip better than the animated series but i am getting a kick out of it. this story is shaping up be funny almost as funny as when in the animated series Grampa wanted a "Golden Shower" when he didn't really know what it ment. next thing you know Gramps will want a "rusty trombone" or a "dirty sanchez", or even better yet he'll want his "salad tossed" and not kow the literal meaning to them.

I admit I did chuckle in spite of myself at today's strip.
Well Gramps has been shown to not be "with it". And I think that is how we are supposed to take this. Homophobia is not "with it"

Heh heh. Pretty funny! Please do post the rest!
Too bad the film's title, subject matter and period it's set in easily lends itself to the gag title "Bareback Mountain" (guaranTEE you a porn comes out with this title within weeks!).
I saw Jake Gyllenhaal & Heath Ledger lookin' all dreamy on the cover of Entertaiment Weekly, with the title "BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN: The Year's Most Daring Love Story" and figured I'd better see what all the fuss was about.
Nice article-- the movie won the top award at the Venice Film Festival and took the Toronto Film Festival "by storm", and there is already Oscar talk.
I admired the courage of the actors involved (both straight as boards). Ledger admits he "had nothing to lose", coming off the heels of 3 flop movies in a row. That kind of thinking will win him big props, I think. And Jake is a *HOT* name right now, with Jarhead a big success. Per the article, this is the real deal-- no glossed over or off-camera non-sex scenes, either. This movie could end up being a REALLY BIG DEAL.
I'll have to see it alone, because I think it's a real tear-jerker...
