I'm not a huge Atom fan, but we have to remember that Adventure has always been what DC needs it to be for whatever hero (or villain as they are today's heroes) they feel need the spotlight or have a story for. It's a great way for a new writer to stretch his wings - but maybe that's my own hopes getting out of hand?

Jerry, I remember those fondly. I have every one of those issues, and you are absolutely right - they were great fun! Especially the Starman feature - I really hated it when it ended.

^^^ Me too. I think Adventure Comics is one of those rare titles that was consistently great throughout its run. No mean feat when it went for like 450 or something issues!
But it did have some amazing features in it - the Legion (obviously), Supergirl, the Spectre, Aquaman, Starman... all fantastic. The only one that I never really got into was Dial-H-for-Hero, though it does have a certain charm to it now.
