Computo plucked all of Brainy's knowledge from his mind, including the memory of Luthor disguising a phantom zone projector as a disintegrator beam. Since all robots are programmed not to harm human beings, he got around this by duplicating Luthor's stunt and projected his victims, including Triplicate Girl into the phantom zone and made it look like he disintegrated them.
Mon-El discovers Triplicate Girl on one of his return visits to the zone and frees her, along with Computo's other victims. It's revealed that her repeated attempts to recombine with her other selves in order to escape from the zone are what caused her other body's power to be increased. She's now unable to recombine with her other bodies, but has gained new powers while in the zone.

Variable Lad was never killed by Cosmic King, he just adapted to that horribly amateurish writing and art by not being in the book anymore.
He's patiently waiting in comic book limbo as we speak for the next batch of X-Men kids to get slaughtered so he can go try his luck over at Marvel. ;p

Blasted to atoms by the bomb that destroyed the Sun-Eater? Lesser minds might think so, but once Brainiac 5 investigated, he found that Ferro Lad had actually been blasted to Dimension X-52 and is alive, well and ready to resume membership in the LSH!
The well-documented "ghost of Ferro Lad" was, as is now obvious, merely the actual Ferro Lad attempting to contact the LSH via technology from Dimension X-52.

X-Bomb Betty reformed after she exploded, but with a touch of short term amnesia, a side-effect of her brains being blown to atoms, yet again.
Turns out she's done that before, and every time she reforms, she dimly remembers that she has the power to explode like an 'X-Bomb,' but forgets that she survives the experience...

The destruction of the Sun-Eater was powerful enough to produce explosive nucleosynthesis, one of the only processes capable of producing elements heavier than iron through nuclear fusion. Ferro Lad was transformed into the radioactive isotope Thorium-232 and scattered in star dust. But like Wildfire, he someone retained his consciousness and over the decades has slowly been gathering himself back together to reemerge with a new power-set and perspective.

Or...
The death of Ferro Lad resulted in his consciousness being scattered along with the ferrous particles of his body, seeding the remains of the Sun-Eater's own dissipated form.
A decade later, the Sun-Eater had re-assembled, but now a sentient entity, triggered into consciousness by Ferro Lads death. The newly born sentient seeks to atone for the dark deeds of his previous incarnation as Sun-Eater Lad!

When Nightwind's team was ambushed on Xolnar, she was lucky enough to be attacked by a Khund who had had a crush on her during her short stint in the Legion of Superheroes. (Hey, her skin tone is extremely attractive on Khundia!)
Seeing an opportunity to be with his love, he shot her with a paintball instead of a bullet and left her in the snow, intending to return for her later...
Only he was killed in the ensuing battle. Nightwind's form was left buried in the snow, where her wind powers formed a cocoon around her. She's been slumbering ever since, waiting for someone to find and revive her.
