Oddly enough, the records don't explain why those blue alien guys are using boomerangs for weapons.

T’was a minor scuffle only some 300 Jovians against a lone barbarian warrior. Tis true noble Eryk’s powers made me fall off my steed break my mace and trip over the shards. But that is not the issue.
Together we fought and won a noble victory.

The red skies in the background lead me to believe this happened during one of the universe's 23,000 crisis over the last nine or so years (roughly the same time the LMB came into existence).
