Was stuck for more interesting topics to whet the appetite of my fellow Legionphiles, until i saw the "Most Underused Villains" subject sent by Cobalt Kid (hi there, btw!!!!)
Well hows about i up the ante a bit further:
Ambassador Thora:
Reason I chose her: Even tho she is dead, her followers still revere her and i was thinking what a cool plot line it would be if her spirit was summoned by her fellow Taltarians in a bid to rid the universe of all interfering men - including those "not yet even born"....
Dr. Mayavale:
Reason why i chose him: Mind-bending reality freak ranks right up there with Domain and the Infinite Man (2 other potential choices!!!!) Another reason why i chose him: never read the LSH story which intro'd him. (Slack, eh?)
Organus:
Reason why i chose him/it: Interesting villain whose potential was never explored further. Maybe a return visit to the Legion universe would see him/it "souped up" with enhanced life-sapping powers (an octopus-vampire type hybrid if you will).
So, thanks again to CK for giving me something to think about - and to look forward to..
Okay, fans, time for you to write in with your own suggestions
Klordny!

VRYKOS the vampire: I liked the fact that even though he served Mordru, he wasn't a lacky. He went toe-to-toe with a Daxamite and he embodies that primal fear of being *eaten*. He didn't fight Laurel for any other reason than because he was drooling to feed off her. The notion of vampires in the 30th century is also just cool.
BEN PARES: not a super villain per se, but his skills provided a unique challenge to the team. His motivations were also more realistic. Rather than being a world conqueror or even a "villain", he was a criminal - and an extremely talented one at that.
more as I think of them...

Pares was some techno genius, wasnt he? i remember how he monkeyed around with the security devices in the Legion HQ so that folk like Phantom Girl (who got a jolt while in ghost form) or Shrinking Violet (who was sleep-gassed)couldnt bypass them.
That story also featured Ultra Boy having flashbacks to when he was consumed by a space dragon which gave him his one-power-at-a-time shtick.
Sorry for getting off the subject, just that the Pares reference jogged a chord somewhere...
Cheers!!!

I've always wondered why Levitz created the character of Magpie, "the greatest thief in the galaxy", when he could have re-used Pares for the same schtick.
And Mayavale will return. He said so himself!

All good choices, and I was always interested in Vykros the Vampire. I've always known Vampires were supposed to be immensely strong, but it wasn't until they showed one par with a Daxamite that it was driven home.
In addition to Alaktor and Nardo, who I talked about in the Nardo thread, I think Meglaro was pretty cool and wished they showed him again. Of course, we never saw him do much, but he had a very unique look.

Quicksand - too bad she couldn't have been brought back in the 5YL, in that issue with Starfinger trying to fix the baseball game - or as a helper to Jo's smuggling operation. She could certainly fit into the re-imagined Legion universe, ether as an assassin or a spy - or a double agent.
