Hi Folks
Apologies for the time taken to post these - and that I can't even find the initial thread that they were requested in.....BUT ANYWAY...here is a scan of the recreation room page from #1 and a scan of the cover to #4 in it's inked version.

Hope you all had a great 4th of July!

You must use a very sharp pencil! [Wink]

The inked version of #4 is very dramatic. I'm finding a lot of noir elements in this new Legion, in the story but very much emphasised in the art. There are some very dark scenes - Cos speaking to Triplicate Girl as she reports on her spy dates, Phantom Girl in Brainy's lab - very sinister. Delicious! (Or should I say "Mmmm - pulpy!")

I agree on the pulpy. I like that we are getting a Metropolis type of sci-fi pulp (vs. the silly 1950s futurama stuff).

That is an amazing inked cover! I love this Lightning Lad (maybe more than any other) and that Science Police officer rocks!

Thanks guys - I do enjoy the 'noir' scenes and hopefully playing up the contrast with the brighter moments (not that the Legion has had many of those in recent issues)

Count me as another waiting for that cover! Looks great!

You know what I love about these covers of Barry's? Unlike most, the black and white (either inked or not) have just as much life as the colored versions. They're just perfect.

Very nice!

I've got to agree that the black and white pictures are excellent and the noir moments being delicious in the series.

These are great, thanks Barry.

Barry, you space-rawk!
I'll admit very quietly that Barry's pencils are 80% of the reason I'm reading the new Legion. Don't tell Mark... [Razz]

Ooo I just noticed - who's 'Neat Boots Guy' playing fooseball with Element Lad in the Rec Room. I don't know where my copy of LoSH 1 is at the moment...
