Drake i loved your "Ballad of Hate-face" nice work but i have to admitt my knowledge of him is lacking, can anyone give me some info on Hate-face?

joeboy, your first picture is quite ghoulish. Your second one, which is cute, totally got me thinking about Ferro Lad, and how he'd react to meeting Hate Face or even seeing Hatey's memorial. I imagine Hatey being an inspiration to Andrew, giving him a sense of peace of mind about his own situation.

Val's Theme

He joined like a thunderstorm,
Though some other Legionnaires did frown,
So to show them his mettle,
He took Superboy down

He was brave and courageous,
And one of the Silver Age last,
But it didn’t take long for him to be leader,
Or become a fan favorite so fast

Aggressive and heroic,
His pulse was vibrant and alive,
He wanted death to come in battle,
As when he battled all the Fatal Five

But like all the greatest warriors,
In his soul action was just one part,
He believed in romance and in love,
And went through any quest for Jeckie’s heart

He helped define an era of Legion history,
He was nearly every Legionnaries pal,
An inspiration for all to follow,
Was the Courage that was Val

In the end, he died a hero,
And with great love defending his wife,
He died with great honor in battle,
The fitting end to a brave, bold life

MR. SPACETASTIC 3000 PAGEANT

They gathered from near and far
Even from sectors unknown [Queeg]

"Mr. Spacetastic 3000" was the title
Each of them hoped to own [Respect]

The competition was fierce
With plenty of handsome faces [Colossal Boy]

And also those considered hot
By various alien races [Bertron Diib]

And so the men posed in thongs

Until the judges had decided

A hush fell over the gathered crowd
