i loved his run on "THE NEW TITANS" !!! those first few issues after PEREZ left were a bit patchy, but by the time "TITANS HUNT" came around he was great !!! and Al VEY's inks were excellent too !!!
i loved his costumes: REDSTAR, PANTHA, PHANTASM, GODDESS TROIA etc ....
did anyone else like him, or did you feel he could compete with PEREZ ???

I like Tom's work, but he's no Perez in my opinion. I loved his Titans work, and I loved his Robin and Superboy stuff. He was the best artist on the Superboy series, as far as I'm concerned.

I *really* liked Grummett's work too! Especially when it was inked by Al Vey! (Hmmm, is that why I'm not enjoying it as much in the current series?)
Can't say I particularly cared for his costumes though - with the exception of the rather cool-looking Phantasm. Particularly didn't like Troia's hideous gold 'Goddess' outfit. Ugh!
Who designed the Team Titans? I always thought they had quite crappy outfits too, and yet whenever they were together in a group shot they somehow looked just 'right' together. Weird.
