I've been watching the show -- I've seen most of them and once you get a feel for what they're going for, I think it's a pretty decent show. It's obviously aimed more for kids and tries to adapt some of the comedic elements of Japanese anime (sometimes more successful than other times) yet tries to tell a good story.

It's a fairly enjoyable show, though nothing to write home about (I'm waiting for the big Slade/ Terminator the Deathstroke episode though -- I'm curious what his agenda is and what his gripe is with the Titans). The latest ep had Tempest/ Aqua Lad which was pretty good. I hope they also show Speedy at some point too.

I like the stories well enough, and don't really mind the animation much (although the X-Men Evolution style would have been better), but I absolutely HATE the comedic anime stuff! I feel like I'm watching 1970s Japanese imports. And the sad thing is that I don't think not having them would affect whether or not kids will watch it. Kids today are alot more sophisticated than we were as kids.

Children today do not need things "dumbed down" for them to get it, ya know?

I don't see the Japanese style comedic moments as "dumbing down" anything. I think it's just part of a style they're going for that they imagine their target audience already likes. Personally, I don't think it's done all that well in "TT". But in something like "Sailor Moon", it's a great comedic tool and helps establish the energy of the show.

I'm torn...

I've seen the last two episodes... The aqua-lad and the red x ones... and they weren't too bad. Which means that they were better than I expected which wasn't much.

That said, they weren't too good either. I mean if I were going to do an animated show about a DC Comics Teen Super-hero team set in the near future, I would have picked a different team. One that makes more sense... But that's just me.

I also liked the last two episodes more than the others. I didn't think there was anything really "bad" about them. They seem to present the team's dysfunction in a fairly believable and relatable way for a half-hour cartoon series. I like Robin's dogged determination and the fact that things weren't wrapped up all neatly in the end in terms of Robin's relationship with the team.

And Deathstroke looked pretty cool.

I just saw an episode for the very first time. The episode where they battle Mad Mod.

I quite liked it, although they look and sound more like The Pre-Teen Titans!

Very Japan-ey.

The theme song and opening titles are GREAT!!!!

And I loved the very 70s Scooby-Dooesque chasing of Mad Mod while the little Japanese pop song played... loved it a lot.

I'll probably buy this as a DVD set when it is released.

oh WOW! Just saw tonight's new episode featuring DEATHSTROKE! It was much, MUCH more serious in tone than the Mad Mod episode...

Slade has blackmailed Robin into being his "apprentice"...! And it is continued next week! AAAAH!

My interest in the JLA cartoon faded with each episode I watched, disappearing completely by about the 4th or so show...

But I am *really* getting into TEEN TITANS! Guess I'll be having a date every Saturday at 8!

t-e-e-n t-i-t-a-n-s TEEN TITANS LET'S GO!!

Ok, so Deathstroke (or "Slade" -- I guess "Deathstroke" is a bit too heavy for kids or something even though any kid who picks up the comic because of the toon will see Slade shoot Impulse in the knee with a shotgun, but whatever...) wants Robin for an apprentice. Was I the only one who saw the elephant in the room named "Batman"? Why not at least mention Batman in this situation -- it's not like people don't know who Batman is or that he works with Robin.

Good episode though.

Eh. The Slade apprentice episode is the first one I've watched (finally have Cartoon Network now). It will also probably be the last unless I'm way bored. Can't stand the animation and they've taken one of my favorite characters in Gar Logan and made him a little dweeb I can't stand. What's with him not being able to talk without spitting? Sorry, just not my cup of tea.

Now, the JLA that was on later, Tabula Rasa, was much better. Why couldn't they have done a Titans cartoon in the Dini style instead of that stupid anime crap?

Just saw TT for the first time -- the Slade episode. I definitely like the look of the show better than JLA, but maybe that's because the style of JLA has already been around for a while, what with the Batman and Superman shows. The anime-esque look of TT is refreshing for me.

I wish Starfire looked more like her comic book self, though -- I especially miss the "flaming flowing hair" effect...

Good episode though.

Cause part of the mission statement of the show is to not mention the characters sires. That means no Batman (or Aquaman), ever. The show pretends he doesn't exist (hence the robin shaped "batarang" and grappling hook).

And as for the Slade thing, it's weird, yeah, but I kind of like it.

Just watched the 2-part "Apprentice" and I loved it! It's light years better than the moribund JLA.
It makes me wish Steve Lightle's animated-LSH stuff was gonna happen.
