In the interest of conserving server space and keeping posts easy to read, signature parameters are changing.
Starting tomorrow, you will have the ability to have a signature of 160 characters, that's two lines of text.
It'll make threads easier to read and less full of spam.
Also, everyone might consider unchecking the "Check 'Show Signature' by default?" box in their profile and using the one on the reply page. That way it only appears occasionally and can be displayed only once a page.
That's how I use mine at the DCMBs. It doesn't feel like spam to me when I do that.
