Yellow gloves, no Atlantian ancestry, only really appeared as an explicit E2 version in the 80s (although Aquaman was a GA character in more-or-less continuous publication until well after the Silver Age/E1 switch, no-one bothered separating a GA version out until Roy Thomas late in the day).

Kurt Busiek loosely based the "Sword of Atlantis" Aquaman on him.

Yeah, the E2 Aquaman never really appeared as I recall, except for being mentioned a few times in All-Star Squadron. It's generally held that his appearances before 1959 (when he got a spiffy new origin as a half-Atlantean) are to be assigned to the E2 version.

Earth-2 Aquaman actually made a bona fide "This is an official Earth-2 character" appearance toward the end of the All-Star Squadron book.
