Okay, I have one that has the likes of ASTEROIDS, BREAKOUT and MISSLE COMMAND on it.

What I really, really REAllllllllllY want is one that contains an old favorite game, BURGER TIME.

I was wondering if this is available on one of those new Joystick-plug-in games. B.T. wasn't an Atari game, though, IIRC.

Anyone know?

A quick search confirms the game was made by INTELLIVISION.

Perhaps if I search under that, I can avoid all those annoying hamburger websites....

I don't know about joystick thingies, but Burgertime is available in the game section of Legion World.

Okay, a search under Intellvision History seems to confirm the release of direct-to-TV games in August 2003.

I'm assuming those are still available.

Perhaps a stop at Target is in order tomorrow.

Okay, to keep this thread from becoming worthless, discuss old favorite 1980s games here.

Pitfall was fun. Frogger. Centipede.

My brother and I played Asteroids for hours on end when we first got the 2600 (sibling rivalry can certainly fuel an Atari addiction). We used to play against each other in Combat and Warlord a lot too.
other old favs:
-- Defender
-- Kaboom
-- Pac-Man
-- Donkey Kong

I also used to love those games that you could actually win:
-- Pitfall took forever, but it felt good to beat it.
-- Raiders of the Lost Ark was cool - I had no idea how anyone was supposed to figure out how to win that game - I only knew because a friend told me.

I remember when the very first video game came out - you could play ping-pong on your TV (man, that was a loooooong time ago, in a Galaxian far, far away...)

*amused titter* Well, the Burger Time game in the games section is a a pleasant enough diversion, but it isn't satisfying my longing for full-blown joystick/TV/sounds and stuff. I must be chased by giant pickles, eggs and weenies old-school style!

There's a full scale Centipede machine in the pizza place my kids like. Roller ball, baby! Takes me back to wasting quarter after quarter at the Hot Stop in 1984, fueled by Giant Chewy Sweetarts and root beer.

Did Pac-Man ever get to computer? I remember the old arcades which played P-M, Space Invaders (I can still hear that song in my head!)...Would Game Boy or Playstation ever unearth these classics?
