The 31 votes were pretty spread out (not surprisingly - diversity being a key aspect of the Legion).
In the last two days of voting, this couple pulled a bunch of votes, launching them ahead: SEXIEST COUPLE OF THE LEGION - IMRA & GARTH with 19% (6) of the votes
The steady leader for most of the time: 2nd SEXIEST LEGION COUPLE: SHADY & MON-EL with 16% (5) of the votes
Also a very strong showing from the start: 3rd SEXIEST LEGION COUPLE: DREAM GIRL & STAR BOY with 13% (4) of the votes
Next, two couples tied with 10% (3) votes each: 4th SEXIEST LEGION COUPLE (tie): BOUNCING BOY & DUO DAMSEL, and JO & TINYA (Oh, yes, that's a pretty kinky 4th place tie.)
Three couples tied next with 6% (2) votes each: 5th SEXIEST LEGION COUPLE (tie): NIGHT GIRL & COSMIC BOY, PROJECTRA & KARATE KID, and GRIMBOR & CHARMA
With 3% (1) vote each: 6th SEXIEST LEGION COUPLE (tie): ELEMENT LAD & SHVAUGHN, DAWNSTAR & WILDFIRE, and MATTER-EATER LAD & SATURN QUEEN
No voter chose Light Lass & Timber Wolf, Collosal Boy & Yera, Shrinking Violet & Duplicate Boy, Brainiac 5 & Busty Blonde (Supergirl/Andromeda), Vi & Ayla, Tusker & Eyeful Ethel, Evillo & His Dozen Ex-Wives, or Made Up Their Own Grouping.
------------------ Okay, I'm pulling MOSTLY from pre-1994, because it just got too exhausting AND I didn't find much sexiness in the Archie-era Legion. DnA didn't introduce any fundamentally different Legion couples that I can think of (outside of the SHAMELESS HUSSY poll, that is).
So let me know which couple made you wonder about their off-panel activities?

Chuck & Lu for me. Depending on the writer's wont, they can be written as a truly sweet & charming couple (overcoming issues of body image and mental disorder) or as truly kinky swingers.
Personally, I like seeing the goodhearted Chuck dote on his multi-wives. Reminds me of stuff from Nick at Nite, I guess.

I voted Night Girl and Cosmic Boy. Let's face it, Rokk's always been pretty straight laced, yet he wore that Disco Bondage costume for quite some time. There's gotta be some kinks in this guy's head somewhere. And as we all know, when the lights go out Lydda's not your average girl! Behind closed doors this has got to be one wild couple!

Jan and Shvaughn. (Male and female, respectively. A pox on TMK. But you knew that from me, anyway.)
I couldn't vote for Dawny and Drake, despite their being my favorite Legion couple, due to Wildfire's obvious lack ... it's hard to be truly sexy when it can never be consummated, but it can come damn close.

Because Wildfire is generally portrayed as sexy (i.e. muscley, aggressive, nice rear, hung, etc -- ok, my eye might have added that last bit), it takes me a minute to realize that it's just the diving uniform; there is no man there.
On the other hand, some couples' powers just scream "WE HAVE SEX" (like Tusker & Eyeful Ethel). (And before I hear groaning, it wasn't my hand behind their creation.)
By the way, GreyEagle, how did you decide on Jan and Shvaughn? Not trying for a psychological probe, just curious. I really liked them as a couple (they were cute in a way that just isn't done too often amongst superheros), but I nearly forgot they were a couple when coming up with the poll (if that makes sense).

I had a difficult time picking between Dream Girl/Star Boy (best *looking* couple), Cosmic Boy/Night Girl (I agree, LOSER... Cos the masochist has gotta have a kinky side, and Mistress Lydda probably indulges it!) and the couple I finally chose... Drura/Jacques. I think they had a nicely realistic, playful vibe. And it helped that they didn't fall instantly and completely in love at first panel.
I think Jan/Sean Erin should've been a choice. Lots of people may have hated that storyline, but lots of people also loved it. (I'm one of the latter...)
I came close to picking the 'made up my own' for my pet theory that Lyle had a case of the previously mentioned 'love at first panel' when he followed Jan onto Roxxas' ship in Element Lad's origin issue.

[235 - Andy S] { By the way, GreyEagle, how did you decide on Jan and Shvaughn? }
I enjoyed how they got past the expected issues of a superheroic romance. The first and most obvious reason: one of them wasn't powered up. She had a position of responsibility that saw them from the outside, apart from their group dynamics, caring for what affected all of them. But she wasn't one of them.
Jan's homeworld was a space island, small in population and isolated by its inhabitants' abilities. Jan would have wanted some perspective from outside a new group, the Legion, that was itself insular. A different view.
That he would find a different way of looking at existence in a talented, beautiful companion added to the charge between them. That she couldn't work directly to help him on missions made her care more for him.
All that builds sexual energy. Not as much of the flashy kind -- though that was strong -- but the more enduring kind. Levitz, telling about them, made the most of it.

Couples need imbalances, for spice and interest, along with qualities that are balanced. That viewpoint may tell you something about me. I don't mind.
